The saddest thing ever. Rare & Racy, the magnificent book/music/art shop established on Devonshire Street in Sheffield in 1969, closed for good on Saturday 8th July 2017 (having stayed open for an extra week due to public demand!). This was not out of choice but they've been forced to close so Sheffield City Council can demolish the lovely row of old shops to build new shops and student flats, like we need more of those. A week before closing artist Phlegm removed his mural from above the sign and replaced it with a new skull & crossbones piece...
This is what happens when I forget to take a picture during the day. I end up with pictures of pirate decorations accented with kickball wear.

Made a cherry pie for Dessert Club at work, which also doubled as a Bon Voyage dessert for a co-worker, hence the skull and crossbones. :-)

As the beach became busier, I decided it was time to make my way home. Before departing, I left a Skulferatu in a skull and crossbones that someone had carved into the chalk.
