This small skull and crossbones charm features a pirate motif. Swords replace the bones, the skull flashes an ugly grin, and a headscarf is wrapped around the scalp. The skull is a vintage item, so there may be imperfections. The charm is about 3 mm across and 3.5 mm long. The cable-style chain has a brass core and is coated by .999 silver plating. The heavy duty 6 microns of fine silver plating is protected by a special anti-tarnish e-coating. The chain is 18" long and nickel free. Closure is a lobster claw.

My first finished Gunpla in about two years. I've had this in some form of assembly in my room for way too long, and it's nice to finally finish it. I may try and get more pictures later if I can make a better lightbox setup before school starts.

You can just about make out the skull and crossbones on the underside of the canopy. Not a great shot, I'll have to go back....
This batch was definitely an unfriendly reminder that icing consistency is directly related to the level of enjoyment one derives from cookie decorating! ARGH, it was one of those nights where my icing was either too thick or too thin, never just right. Of course my cookies never seem to come out like I envision them in my head and in my sketches either. But, in the end I so like them and more importantly they will make my kids and their friends happy. I made them for our annual Halloween party coming up on Saturday. My favorites are the skull and crossbones. Skulls seem to be all the rage with the kids these days and as I was looking around the house one day noticing them on notebooks, stickers, shirts, backpacks etc. I thought it would be fun to do some skull cookies. The others I have done before. My daughter really wanted the frankenstein cookies as I had made them last year for a friends son and she remembered them and loved them.

The Crossbones burial ground in Southwark, South London, was used between the seventeenth and nineteenth centuries as a mass burial site primarily for paupers, prositutes and plague victims. The site has never been recognised or consecrated as a graveyard and since its closure in 1851 - due to reaching an unimaginable capacity - it has remained in limbo, unusable for development and unrecognised but for the attempts captured in these photographs. The campaigners make a pilgrimage to the gates every Haloween to leave asorted offerings and ribbons marking those whom they believe to be buried at Crossbones.

I find the skull and crossbones interesting on this, especially as it is at the entrance to a church (Niuewe Kerk, see day 226).

Toxique is a OOAK, customised 11" doll. The original base doll was a living dead doll, before being fully customised by Jay of Doll n Crossbones. A short stop-frame animation was produced with the finished doll.

i love my father. :] i've been told im more like him than i am my mother. he had an open house at his work and his bosses brought in a face painter for the little children, somy father got this skull and crossbones with blue flames. :]

Crossbones (real name Brock Rumlow) is an enemy of Captain America in the comics. In the film Captain America: The Winter Soldier, he is an assassin who works for Alexander Pierce and HYDRA as a sleeper agent within S.H.I.E.L.D. and in this film he served as the hidden tertiary antagonist, while in the sequel; Captain America: Civil War, he appears as a minor villain.
Master Hand-To-Hand Combatant/Martial Artist: Crossbones was one of the world's best hand-to-hand combatants, with extensive training in street-fighting, military combatants, and various forms of martial arts, He has trained extensively with the Taskmaster to the point where he was actually made an instructor at the Taskmaster's school for criminals.
Expert Marksman: Crossbones was a superior marksman with guns, crossbows, and throwing knives.
Skilled Torturer/Brainwasher: Crossbones had some experience with torture and brainwashing, having effectively "reprogrammed" Sin and nearly so with Diamondback.
Expert Pilot: Crossbones was a capable pilot.
