What with all the whispering and giggling going on over breakfast this morning.......I felt something was going down with the CraZy Gang......(And I don’t mean food wise)......So on our walk this morning I thought I was ready for anything ......And I mean anything.......And yet despite that.... I could not hide my surprise on seeing the gang unfurling and rising of the skull and crossbones Jolly Roger flag to signalise the start of the search for the hidden pirate treasure......But don’t think for one moment that I will be joining in the search with them....As I already know that the treasure in the shapes of gravy bones and a couple of cans of beer has been deeply buried in my back pack camera bag which is laying right by Di is, taking the picture.....And by the looks the CraZy Gang are giving the camera.....They are well aware of that too.....
A custom minimate block figure I created. The face and chest are decals from Minimate Factory. The gun and legs are from a Platoon minimate.
Apparently, this is where the expression «lynching» comes from.
If I get the story right: In the 1490s in Galway, this young man Walter Lynch killed a charming Spaniard who got a little too close to Walter's sweetheart, Ann Blake – he stabbed him and threw him out into the sea. While public opinion was firmly on his side, Walter's own father, James Lynch Fitzstephen – who happened to be the mayor of Galway at the time – exercised his «stern and unbending justice» and hanged his own son, and he hanged him out of the jail window for all to see. That's that very window there above the inscription.

The Crossbones burial ground in Southwark, South London, was used between the seventeenth and nineteenth centuries as a mass burial site primarily for paupers, prositutes and plague victims. The site has never been recognised or consecrated as a graveyard and since its closure in 1851 - due to reaching an unimaginable capacity - it has remained in limbo, unusable for development and unrecognised but for the attempts captured in these photographs. The campaigners make a pilgrimage to the gates every Haloween to leave asorted offerings and ribbons marking those whom they believe to be buried at Crossbones.
