I made Anela the Hula Girl in 2009. Found this month these photos which I never shared and put them online :)
These friendship bracelets are crocheted with silk (dark gray) and rayon (light gray) yarns. The silk is a single ply -- almost like raffia -- and was a gift from Prudence Mapstone. The rayon is firmly plied with a z-twist (yay!) and is called "Rayon 5 Wt" from Swallow Hill in Canada.
Special bead-like stitch: Clones Knot, a historic Irish crochet lace stitch. (Please see issue #46 of Vashti's Crochet Inspirations Newsletter -- direct link at my Flickr profile page.)
It just happens sometimes. The stitch wraps don't settle in neatly. (See center pink knot and center silver one.)
In addition, the blue and silver one doesn't straighten on its own and doesn't block. It's metallic embroidery floss.
These 100% fiber cords have no weight from beads to straighten them. As bracelets, they have no pendant to straighten them out either.
Beach Cover Up/Poncho:
Point-to-Point Tunisian Filet with Twisted Bead Drops.
A convertible layer edged as you go with “water droplets” (beaded twisted loops that require no pre-stringing). Yarn: DesigningVashti Lotus, 100g Crystal Blue color with small accent amounts of Teal Glimmer and Bamboo Green.
This is Tunisian filet crochet trimmed with moss stitch that can be seamed (by lacing) different ways for a convertible poncho, vest/tunic, shawl. The accent band can be worn in the front and back for a v-neck or at the shoulders for a bateau head opening.
A round up of some of my Dec. 2012 crochet jewelry cord experiments, which became 3 new pattern releases:
"Sweet Almonds Jewelry Set," "Irish Pearl Knot Cords," and the freepattern article, "Puffpearls Cord and Guide." (See my Flickr profile for links.)
Stitches shown are Irish Pearl Knots, Pillowpuffs, Puffpearls, and Bow Tie Picots, in a range of fibers, yarn sizes, beading methods.

Cone at a photoshoot because I've added it to my online shop (DesigningVashti.com). It's a two-pound, 2,300-yd "Lotus Magnum."
The "tiaras" are Bling Bam Bangles, a new beginner-friendly crochet jewelry pattern in the shop.

Hear the story of Lancey - a brave and bold lion,
Kidnapped from the jungle, locked behind bars of iron.
He broke out of the zoo, with the other animals in tow
and lived happily in the jungle, spirits never low. :D
He is approximately 5 inches tall.
