Our pal Janelle invited us over to her farm to meet her dogs, goats, and alpacas! Lovely people; lovely critters.

Not usual behavior for Critter, the leftover turkey made him pretty vocal.

September 4, 2016: Topaz, aka Puddytat, is rather shy and avoids crowds. But when it's 'nap time' and quiet in the office she shares the moment with me.

I was so excited to get the chance to photograph a raccoon this year. The few I have seen were either in a place where I could not get a good shot or at a time I was without my camera. The problem this time was: Too much lens for this guy. I had my 500mm with 1.4 TC attached for my birding expedition. It was getting late, but I decided to drive by some picnic areas in the Palos Forest Preserves. Wouldn't you know it, a raccoon was making its way down a tree. Because there was a car coming up behind me I had to pull over closer to the raccoon and too close to get a full body shot. A fun portrait none-the-less.

The other night I found this yellow 44-Tonner sans-trucks on a flatbed near the BNSF yard in Burlington. A couple days later, a crane lifted her onto her trucks, and another little critter magically appeared. I want to say it's a Whitcomb but I have literally no idea. At any rate, neat little things!

Looks like a mother figure...or maybe a teacher with a bunch of students on a leash

Chris "Critter" Eldridge Performing at Carrboro's Cat's Cradle, Friday April 4, 2014

I don't believe this frog thinks that I know he's there. Or at least maybe he thought he blended in really good.

Enjoying a little bit of the outdoors before getting locked up for the night.

Critter liked to lie in a roll of plastic fencing, hiding from the dogs. Sadly, about 10 days ago, she went out one nite and hasn't been seen since.
