I am using the definition as meaning a living thing, but, in my thoughts a critter has always meant something like this! I was at a small pond and he was at a distance and at first I thought it was a small piece of log sticking out of the water, but with my 70-300mm I soon saw it was a frog!

After of a lifetime of being the exact opposite of what this breed is known for (she's shy, uninterested in chasing things and the least tenacious dog in the world) Lucy has reconnected with her "inner terrier". She's decided no varmints will be allowed in the vineyard and she's digging her way frantically through every gopher hole she finds. So we'll either be critter-free, or we'll have a vineyard full of deep holes.

Always a pleasure to see all these guys. This makes my 9TH Punch Brothers show...not that I'm counting. Decided to go all b&w this time. Very low light at the Calvin (and THE MOST UNCOMFORTABLE SEATS EVER, since I'm already complaining!) so I felt these weren't up to my usual color standards...

Our pal Janelle invited us over to her farm to meet her dogs, goats, and alpacas! Lovely people; lovely critters.

Not usual behavior for Critter, the leftover turkey made him pretty vocal.

I can only identify one type of critter revealed in these tracks, and that's the one that made the print at the upper left corner: me.
