Today I visited the Maryland Center for History and Culture, along with fellow Muppetoligist @emscottart to catch the new Jim Henson: Imagination Unlimited exhibit. The show was beautifully curated and set up, spanning every stage of Henson’s remarkable career. I know that Kris, who was the most knowledgeable Muppetoligist of them all, would’ve loved this, especially the Fraggle Rock and Sesame Street displays. Of course I had to draw her beloved Gobo (aka “Gobie”) on an interactive mural designed for fans and visitors to add to, just for Kris. From early pre-sketches and concept art, to experiments in film, to interactive displays and original items used in movies and tv shows, there’s a ton to see and do. Afterwards, Eric and I headed over to Kisslings for lunch and a post-Muppet toast. 15 квітня 2014 Ліз П’ю, арт-консультант Британської Ради в Україні та засновниця компанії «Walk the Plank», поділилася своєю історією успіху та розповіла, як можна заснувати бізнес у сфері мистецтва у Великобританії, які «складові» потрібні для його запуску та на що варто орієнтуватися, щоб втілити свої плани у життя. Жвава дискусія точилася навколо питань, з якими стикаються арт-бізнес проекти в Україні у наш час.
Захід став першим у серії, організованій Британською Радою в Україні та Единбурзькою бізнес-школою Східна Європа. Надалі заплановане проведення регулярних зустрічей з експертами, що готові ділитися своїми знаннями та досвідом.

SCLOrk (the Santa Clara Laptop Orchestra) is an innovative ensemble of up to sixteen players dedicated to the creation and performance of live electronic music. Created in the Spring of 2012 by SCU faculty Bruno Ruviaro and students, this interdisciplinary group explores the intersection of music composition, live performance, human/computer interaction, programming, and sound design, with emphasis on musical creativity based on cutting-edge technologies.

The conceptual ideas of several inner-city youth were collaborated on and realized through the KidSafe 'Architects of the Future' project, having received guidance and assistance from four local architects.
To celebrate the accomplishments of the children, a pancake breakfast was held at Florence Nightingale Elementary.
The night was a sensory experience of creativity through sights, sounds and taste. Guests sampled some of Salem's best brews and liquors from Deacon Giles Distillery, Far From The Tree Craft Hard Cider, Notch Brewing, and Rumson's Rum. The headlining band for the evening was the Krewe de Groove featuring many Salem Jazz and Soul Festival alumn, and they brought their transcendent mix of New Orleans-inspired funk and soul to the party. Guests contributed to the Salem Arts Festival collaborative public art project "Move With Me", watched slam poets from Mass Poetry and Wreck Shop Movement perform in the galleries and danced to the latest beats mixed by DJ Noel Snow, They created collages with the Salem Arts Association and jumped into the GIF photo booth presented by Retonica and Figsburry Creative Group. Guests were also entranced with a special drum and dance performance by Greg Coles and Company.
