I created this daffodil from instructions in a book. I used size 11 seed beads. It took 3 evenings to complete. The image is just a bit smaller than life size.
I spent an hour during our Christmas craft afternoon making one card. I will have to send it to someone very special.

This is a photo of me with a lasagna roll that my dad and I had just made. This was a totally new cooking technique to both of us, so it was really interesting to learn how to make it. Basically, fresh sheets of pasta are spread with a filling, and then rolled up in a log. The roll is then poached in a bath of hot water, sliced, and baked. This is not something you would do every day, and I thought it was a really neat way to make pasta even more appealing. I chose the photo because it displays a unique cooking method that I had just learned.
