The 2nd Annual Darby Cupcake Challenge was Feb. 6 at the Darby Community Club. The event was organized by Better Opportunities for Single Service Members (BOSS) and Army Community Service (ACS).
Members of the community turned out to support and vote for their favorite cupcakes. BOSS representatives had the pleaseure of tasting all the cupcakes and deciding who is the Darby top cupcake baker.
Prizes and awards were given to the top three competitors in three categories: Taste, Creativity and Unit.
The unit award went to the best cupcakes submitted by a Darby unit or organization. The Unit awards were given to: BOSS - 3rd place, ACS - 2nd place and Public Affairs - 1st place.
Creativity awards were awarded based on the creativity of cupcake or the cupcake display. Creativity awards were given to: Amber Weber - 3rd place, Shirley Mena - 2nd place and School Age Services (SAS) - 1st place.
The highest honor of all, best tasting cupcakes went to the following winners: Amber Weber with her Smores cupcakes - 3rd place, SAS Spaghetti and Meatball cupcakes - 2nd place, and Amber Weber's Spaghetti and Meatball cupcakes. - 1st place.

I knew I wanted to do shoes before I attached legs...I've made that mistake before and was not doing it again. Much too awkward to work on Apoxy Sculpt while wrestling the second leg out of the way.... ahahha...oooooh.... clever me this time. For once.
had legs and arms and bits hanging off every thing whilst waiting for it to dry... later somebody mentioned using a coat hanger...hmmm silly me on that one..... I'm keeping notes...... next time, I aim to get it all right.... oh, yeh...sure.... like that'll ever happen. .
My wife and I are big fans of street art - we love the creativity and colors of the art work. While on the way to Pearl Harbor we passed some murals so we decided to check them out on the way back. We hadn't heard of the Kaka'aka area before but we had a blast walking around - except it was pretty hot and the lighting was so bright. I would definitely go back here - and it would be a great place for a photo shoot. One thing that amazed me about this area was the size of many of the pieces - huge - covering the entire side of building. Unfortunately this also meant that cars were parked in front of many of them. Oh well, can't have everything!

She loved mixing the colors. Any parents out there twitching at the prospect of all those mixed-color globs of Play-Doh? ;-)
My word was land. I used grass as the main focus as well as feet because they both go with the ground and the land.
The tools i used were liquify to fix the jeans, Hue/ Saturation, and different levels for the color. What I learned is that there are so many different things you can do to a photo to make it better.
The BlazingRat is a being forged of creativity and pure energy. Blaze was crafted to aid in an on going war against an evil force that seeks to rule the galaxy with an iron fist. Many years ago, in a large battle over his home planet, there was an incident with his ship and it exploded. As his body drifted though space, a salvage ship scooped him up. The warmth of the ships engines allowed him to heal at a rapid rate. However, as he awoke, he came to find he has no memories of why he was there or who he is.
Now he roams the galaxy still looking for anything to connect him to his past. Finally he learns that he is part of a group known as the Rat-Squad. Now his mission is to set out to find his missing comrades and stop this evil force once and for all.

well related to mechanical engineering*(little, as i am one :) )...
for the meaning-
1.
there is enormous potential in all of us...
but quite often diverted and distributed and usually with no positive out come...
just like a flowing river...literally infinite energy flowing... making it's way through the soil...
but channelize it through a turbine *(the strange figure in center) and what we get--->Electricity....>>>we are all highly creative just need direction.
2.
can be seen as every man has a darker side and a brighter one as well.
Darker being wild, destructive and unorganized while brighter silent, creative, organized and stable. This fight between bright and dark is what defines creativity...

It's the first kid-designed, kid-built addition to the design lab: a pair of sound baffles created to absorb sound from the dj booth during the first middles school dance of the year. Thanks to the drama department for the fabric, and one of our families for the sewing machine that made the assembly of these baffles possible.
