I really like this photo, makes me feel like someone snapped this of me while I was walking by them.

The look makes me feel like the Jekyll and Hyde characters.

What did I just do? Did I scope my next victim, am I lusting the stalk of the weak. I'm on the brink of a splitting headache, I think I'm going to crack soon. .. Yeah, totally corny, I know.

A portrait of Aiden with make up by a very talent make up artist - Hayleigh. Shot in a studio setting - the make up took longer than the actual shoot.

OH MY! This was alot of fun!!

For Face As My Canvas, Emulation #3

I planned on shooting Mini for this, but she was not feeling it, so I gave it a whirl. This was a great challenge pick! I am sitting here with this stuff still all over my face, I was so excited I had to process and post right away. I have ADD like that. It does not take to much to excite me. Well, I really have to shower.

Model - Shaun

My good friend Shaun was nice enough to model for me last night. He had a great German military sweater in his closet and even though it was hot as hell, I thought this would fit best for the look I wanted. There's actually another shot I want to post in a few days, expect something new from this shoot. :}

Not thrilled about the composition in this but I have a few more to post from this series anyway.

Going to Atlanta, GA to see Bjork in concert.

Woot! Hope everyone has a good weekend!

This is the last one I'm working on from this series, promise. Couldn't help myself though, this is what I do on a Saturday night. Drink some cider, play with Photoshop and enjoy design.

Random thought - If your wondering why I'm posting these, "random thoughts" it's so I can try and open up a little more. I do have words to share, just give me time. These thoughts are purely random.

Music I'm listening to - The Knife. There is one song in particular that I keep playing over and over, "We Share Our Mothers' Health". Love it. Does anyone else repeat a song till it's stamped in your brain?

I'm so quiet you wouldn't even know I was standing right behind you.

My newest work and one I've been waiting to do for WEEKS!

Sorry, I've been a slow ass on photos lately. But hopefully this makes up for my tardiness.

Enjoy -

Soul of a Gypsy,

The heart of a Hippie,

And the Spirit of a Fairy....

Wild and free,

just like a gypsy soul....

Embracing the unknown,

One step at a time....

Wild at heart,

untamed by society....

Wander often, wonder always....

Let the gypsy within you roam free and create a world of magic....

Valeriia at Creative Jam in Vipiteno. An angel carved from ice.

Her breath slips into the air and finds the back of your neck first: a quiet warning.

Lace blooms across her brow, silver horns rise like glacier ridges, and dark tears split the white like fractures in ice.

Whatever she reaches for goes still: Beautiful, silent, perfectly frozen.

Painted Faces

This image was taken in an attempt to experiment with the different ways in which random colours could be used to change the shapes of a face.

After my Ancient Cray Portrait series, which used 96 crushed up crayons, I was left with the wrapper for those crayons. Why not make a mask out of them I thought to myself. This is what Mylee looks like after the crayon wrappers where off.

Continuing the portrait series using flowers to accentuate the make-up design. The idea with this series is to make a collection of different colors for different months. This red set is for January.

Amid the pulse of Helsinki’s Creative Makeup Awards, Jannika stepped into the light like an apparition forged from shadow and glass.

Jasmiina’s artistry wrapped around her. A crown of lacquered fragments, shimmering like a midnight nebula, and lines that moved across her skin with the delicacy of ink in water.

In the quiet moment between demonstrations, she held her poise with an almost regal stillness.

Power and vulnerability intertwined, turning the dark into something luminous, something otherworldly.
