Eddie Campbell's new graphic novel comes out in September. Meanwhile, Top Shelf Productions has created this sneak-peak chapbook (better known around the shop as the Scout Book Grande) to give expectant fans a taste of what is to come.
With the same sturdy chipboard exterior as the Scout Book, the Grande is simply bigger!
Yesterday Hannah was struck by an idea and ten minutes later, BOOM! We had the Scout Book mini.
CUTE, right?
This little guy is still in the development stage, but we're working to roll it out as a micro publishing format soon.

Maple Seed Renovation made this lovely Scout Book. Make things better? That's an idea we can get behind.
Cap height, ascender, bowl, serif, baseline: there are a lot of things to keep track of when designing letterforms! The Type Sketcher trio of pocket notebooks helps you stay on track as you design. This set features one book for uppercase, one book for lowercase, and one book for numerals, punctuation and symbols. Each book comes with a brief but informative guide to the basics of type design that serve as gentle guides for beginners and helpful reminders for seasoned type designers.
This trio of pocket tools was developed in partnership with Ian Lynam, in hopes that type designers everywhere keep sketching!

Corey Thompson fills Scout Books with a regularity that puts me to shame. Sure, I go through a few a month, but my to-do lists and notes are hardly as inspiring as his sweet, sweet sketches. Corey posts filled-up Scout Books to his site regularly, so check there often for pocket-sized creativity.

He fills Scout Books like no one else we know; glimpse his awesome filled pocket notebooks over on his portfolio site.
Will Bryant is a graphic designer and illustrator extraordinaire! Based in Austin, Texas, Will makes things because he gets sad if he doesn't. His work is playful, fun, and always bright. He filled up a DIY Scout Book (Cover included!) in ONE DAY. Seriously. One day. A study in patterns. Sweet!

This great Scout Book project comes to us from the people over at Aha! agency in celebration of their fourth anniversary. Located in Austin, TX, they specialize in branding + fresh perspectives and wanted to give their clients, friends, and fans a special kind of thank-you for their support. I think this Scout Book is perfect for the job! Printed in orange and brown, complete with a belly band (you know we love a good belly band) and custom interiors – turning four in 2010 never looked better!
If I do say so myself.

Plum Restaurant recently opened in Oakland, CA and had these business cards printed. In a dark, plum-colored ink, no less. How fitting!

Explosion Robinson is a New York City-based sound design studio.
These postcards were printed on Environment 80# White Cover stock with Pantone soy-based black ink.
This was also one of my entries in the competitions [for Amateur Design]. This cupcake was a vanilla butter cake, topped with a Swiss meringue salted caramel (caramel a la fleur de sel) buttercream and decorated with a fresh rosebud.
I chose this name because it was a white cake, the caramel buttercream was light and more-ish, and I thought it looked very pretty with its delicate rosebud nestled in the piped rosettes. Like an angel's kiss... except this one had a caramel perfume!
