The adoption of real-time technologies and workflows for content creation is a seismic shift in the world of video/graphics. It has a fundamental effect on not just on render times but on the entire creative process. In this session hear from someone who has been using realtime graphics for creative work for almost 20 years, and his experiences in applying it to productions such as the Ed Sheeran world tour and Cirque du Soleil.

Workshop am 9. September 2022

w3_03 sketch modification
please note the sequence of images, generated by the same sketch, capturing the screen at successive moments.
In the title you may read the frame number, for ex. the last image of the series took 221875 frames to render.
At the beginning there is not any recognisable pattern. Later on something very well defined emerges!
Even in the last image though, if you look carefully, some subtle randomness, some remaining disorder is present. Line density is different across the canvas, some darker areas can be appreciated, and some of the recurrent patterns appear to be neglected some attention by the "drawing points".
Very interesting indeed...
