Liesl Gibson's linen caftan as taught on Creative Bug. I used a Kaufman chambray that I'm very disappointed in. Washed and dried then just washed and line dried three times since making it and its already looking worn/slubby and seams are falling apart on the neckline. Construction easy in retrospect but wish there would have been written instructions and that some of the camera shots were more in focus. Might try again in a shot cotton and maybe dress length.
I am thankful for eMiLy....this wonderful..funny...creative...talented girl...you would never know by looking at her or hearing her sweet sweet voice that she suffers so bad from panic and anxiety...if we saw inside her 17 year old body..I know that all we would see is a bunch or wires sparking and flying all over the place...she called from school yesterday and wanted me to come get her...for the first time ever...I had to tell her that she needed to breathe deep...lay down in the nurse's office for a few minutes and see if she could manage...after using purell about 5 million times and having the staff look at her like she was crazy...she went back to class....she was still on edge when she got home and she wasnt mad at me anymore....but...those are the days that make me feel like the worse mother in the world...I will survive..I will survive.
This is her desk chair that she works on..off and on....if you know her and you look at the chair and the things she puts on it...you can see her life...sometimes I look at it and I am really sad...sometimes it makes me laugh...she almost always makes me laugh at least once a day!!!!

Reality is not passive; we actively shape it with our thoughts and actions. Our personal universe is based on the stories we tell ourselves and the worldview through which we look out into the world.
In May 2016, CreativeMornings and Shutterstock (one of our global partners that makes our work possible), celebrated the theme of Reality.
Shutterstock surprised the community in 10 cities—London, San Francisco, Montreal, New York City, Vancouver, Singapore, Toronto, Berlin, and Chicago—by hiring local photographers to capture the diversity and backgrounds of their own CreativeMornings community.
Not only do we get to observe and study the work that was produced, but to also enter into the minds' behind the camera—how does their worldview shape their work and what do they hope to communicate? How do they use their lens to capture reality, and at the same time, inspire us to look into a new direction to change our reality?
We are excited to share the full album of portraits of our global creative community.
#MobileArtistry is creative edits, beautiful images, unique perspectives, stellar shots, and happy accidents. IE, stuff you won't find on the pop page.
Through this ongoing project we hope to expose people to art and artists they may not normally get to see, learn about one another's process, and encourage each other to push the limits of creativity.

I've never really considered myself an artist but as a designer, I love looking at beautiful things and instagram provides me endless hours of inspiration and I suppose my desire to create beauty forces me to participate.
This photo began with a shot that I took of myself for an unedited self photo challenge brought forth by @haikulove. Although I liked the photo, I chickened out and it sat in my photo roll untouched for a couple of weeks. Fiddling around with a new to me app called #pictureshow, I fed it into the randomizer and out came a lovely turquoise version of me. A better, bluer, me. So I then began to layer some of my many, many, many bird shots (I really take a lot of bird shots) on top of turquoise me (with #blendcam) and voila... Better, bluer me became better, bluer me with many birds. A final lo-fi filter on Instagram brought life to the details and made it feel complete.

One day some of my co-workers decided to have a small competition; to make a creative lunch. The winner was Thea and here is her contribution; "pumpkin with soup". You should have seen the faces of everyone when she came carrying her pumpkin on her board. Pumpkins are not that common in Norway. It didn't taste good though. My contribution was nugatti/nutella bread spread with cake decoration... and that is good in small quantities.
