This is a photo I took of Courtney Smith, the modern dancer who collaborated with me for an Exhibition called Pollution and Purity several years ago with her Moving Ethos Modern Dancers group. We held the dance outside my studio and used this painting by the same name, which was placed as seen here. My paintings, sculptures, and other abstract art forms were mostly exhibited in my studio.

Well I bought a space suit etc and then found this sim... and decided it spoke for itself. It's truly amazing... play with the windlights in here, but honestly, the ones they have are perfect. The shadow play in on this sim is stunning... HAVE FUN!!
Thank you my photoclub friends for yet another challenge... and fun. ♥

My Mom's dining room at the holidays was a designer's dream. She worked for Hallmark and had a flair for interior design and wonderfully creative.
For years, we celebrated at her house on the holidays until her passing a few years ago.
Happy Birthday, Mom. We miss you. Hope you have finally found that peace you searched for after Dad Passed so long ago.

I joined a group of talented local photographers for a day at White Canyon earlier this year, during the brief wildflower season. Shortly after I arrived, an eastbound CP grain empty announced its imminent arrival, and the group scattered around the hillside, having pre-scouted their next composition of choice. Nothing jumped out at me as a compelling angle, but one of the guys pointed out a natural 'frame' shooting through a fallen fire damaged tree. This isn't a typical shot for me, but I'm quite pleased with the result, and the guidance to get a shot outside my norm.

I was reading this week's theme for the Macro mondays group, it was about single use items, I saw some examples and this one fit perfectly with what I like to do, so, I couldn't resist! I bought plastic straws so I could make this, so we'll have some of them for a while.....😄

They say there are 4 stages of photography or 4 directions you can go in.
1.The proof shot. Merely documenting that you came and saw.
2. To document.
Similar to the proof shot but more specific and technically accurate.
3. To narrate.
This tends to be a more thought out approach as in telling a story through photos or one single photo. It conveys a message.
4. The creative shot.
This is when you make a conscious decision to capture a certain moment in a certain way or capturing an image to process later as you have a vision for it in her mind.
I tend to lean towards the creative side with 90% of my shots I have a plan for them once i get home to create into something different.
I obviously in turn take proof shots and I do a little with the documenting but I haven't yet dabbled in number 3. The narration part of photos but this year I am going to challenge myself, my mind set and my photography to use my photography to create such images so hopefully by them I can make a difference.

Thank you for your much appreciated visit, faves and kind comment!
Happy 😊 on Saturday!
There are too many marvelous things in creation! In the entirety of my lifetime, I could never run out of God’s creation to explore! God created so many magnificent things that it is hard for our minds to begin to comprehend them. I am so thankful that I have had the honor to witness and share so many of them with you! This one is from Colorado National Monument on the last day of 2024 at sunrise. It was such a special moment to watch the warm sunlight hit the rock formations creating a wonderful red and orange glow.
