Visited 2 exhibitions on Sun - sketches from the international edition of Bandung Sketchwalk and the showcase by ITB's design students. Inspiring creativity.
So happy to own a copy of this wonderful sketcher's book. He draws with such simplicity.
I wasn't prepared for this opportunity. I didn't have my tripod, nor my probably most suited (2 stops faster 12mm) lens. But I placed the camera on a stone in the garden, and did this 30 seconds exposure @10mm/f2.8. I was alone and had no one to turn light on and off in the house. So I lit up the livingroom with the screen of my laptop. Result is cropped, couldn't control framing very well with camera placed on a stone.
I'm not an experienced night sky photographer (previous time I was drunk😉). I consider this is a case study. Next time I bring both a tripod and my new 12mm/1.4 and take it a step further 😊
A logistica de escalar é imensa, mas a sensação de conquista é inesplicável.

Filled with behind the scenes talks, tours and stories, this event offered the kind of insider knowledge you can only get from experiencing these spaces first-hand! The tours ran on Saturday 20th May 2017. More information about the tours can be found here: www.dca.org.uk/whats-on/event/behind-the-scenes-dundee
When Will Bryant and Mark Menjivar join forces, terrific things happen. Terrific chipboard things, to be specific.
Will and Mark worked together to create this identity system for the youth advocacy arm of Texas RioGrande Legal Aid (TRLA). Mark works with TRLA to offer aid to youth experiencing homelessness. He got in touch with Will to help him create a series of print items that could be at once beautiful, useful and durable. From that collaboration came three print pieces: a business card, a pocket postcard, and a Scout Book with custom-printed interiors that acts as a Youth Rights Booklet. Will also did the lettering and design for the snazzy TRLA Youth website. Chipboard internet? We’re into it.
In addition to being a chance to create a set of fun printed pieces, Will looks at this collaboration as an opportunity to help out: ”Enabling youth [with] the opportunity to better their circumstances is huge! Most of the kids come from rough backgrounds, so having access to this knowledge empowers them and provides hope for the future,” he told us. “It’s a blessing to be involved with a project that does this.”

Não olhem as cutículas e a qualidade da foto, a bateria da câmera estava acabando e não focou direitinho :((
These are "light paintings", made with the camera at low light setting, so a long shutter speed with movement creates all sorts of cool patterns. Most of the ones in this set were done the night we went driving around town looking at Christmas lights. I've already uploaded the set of "normal" Christmas light pictures. For me these are actually way more fun! I'm setting all of them as creative commons, they are VERY fun to play with. Some of my abstract or altered images started as light paintings, maybe combining aspects of several. If you use these a credit and a link back would be great. And if you could post your new image under the one you used as a comment, that would be way fun!
I do these on the highway at night too (as a passenger of course!) They're a fun way to pass the time and some of them turn out quite fun.
