lately i have been knitting a lot - i have always been one to respect creating your own products that you will use on a daily basis.
This weekends creations... Finished up the LVT. Then wanted another, but decided on a modular drop in. :) LVT4-A. Finished up restructuring the WC63. Middle of frame is MUCH STURDIER now. Extended it back one more brick. Made a DBG PA willys jeep for the LVT. Of course it fits with room to spare. :) Also finally built my version of Major's fine Type 95. I still can not find 2 tan and 2 DBG curved bricks for the sides. Used slopes instead, for now. Finally got the pieces to fix my M2A4's suspension. Looks much better now.

Prenez une aubergine et une pomme de terre moyenne coupées en cubes, un reste d'endives braisées, un navet coupé en lamelles fines, des tranches de chorizo coupées en lamelles, du persil, des graines de pavots, des pignons de pin, du cumin, du piment d'espelette et du sel...groupez tout ça dans la poêle avec un peu de vin de noix pour caraméliser et faire le lien entre tous les légumes. Servez avec un riz blanc, du quinoa, des pâtes, ou avec une saucisse fumée cuite à l'eau.
Ma blonde m'a mis au défi de faire au moins 10 photos artistiques différentes avec des fourchettes. Voilà chérie! À toi maintenant de faire pareil avec des couteaux ou cuillères.
My latest creation features some Indian paisley print cotton taken from a multi-panel skirt and a paisley silk tie top. I thought about using the same material for the top but it is quite an open fabric, which gives it a lovely transparency, but it doesn't handle so well with a fitted design. My next thought was to use a plain silk fabric as I did with the Chrysalis dress but then I had a look through my stash of silk ties and found this tiny paisley. I really like the fact that both fabrics are paisley but on a very different scale so they combine especially well. Silk is much tougher at withstanding intense shaping and moulding for the top. Finally for the tiny straps I created a crochet chain and threaded it into the top securing it with invisible nylon thread and passed some tiny amber beads onto each end of each strap as a little embellishment.

I try not to use a lot of photoshop, but I decided to for this cause I couldn't figure out how to make the bulb glow. Everything else is done in camera though!
I took Dede to a lovely art fest, a couple of artists saw me holding her and were enamored with her! One of which had always wanted to meet a Blythe doll! It was so so fun and Im glad I brought her along! I might post more photos of her at the art fest.
Next year I'll bring money to actually buy some lovely creations! but I only went to look ^_^.

This hangs in the building that houses, among other things, the student gym, classrooms and the City of Portland's archives.
I do take issue with the title. Calling the Viking's creation story a "myth" is highly ethnocentric, because the word "myth" connotes untruth compared to, say, the Book of Genesis in the Christian Bible.
Actually, I do call the narrative in Genesis the "Christian creation myth."
Why don't we all take a deep breath, slowly exhale, agree to disagree about what's true and what isn't, and just call them all "creation stories"?

Mike said it she looked like a person sticking her head out of those cutouts that a person puts their head through at a fair. I took to the challenge! Now,I am, by no means an artist I freely admit. My dad’s artistic skills jumped to my cousin. I am not expecting this to be seen in the National Gallery either. Rather, this is something that I can do to help keep my mind busy during these unprecedented times we are living in. I even created her an instagram account (squirrelinthebirdhouse) to share these creations to.

The Teleglobe earth-satellite station was built in Charleston in 1963. It was the creation of the Canadian Department of Transport, Telecommunications & Electronics Division, the station was active from 1965 until 1995 and was instrumental in broadcasting worldwide events seen across the globe. It was once one of only 5 Satellite Stations in the world like it and the most important one in North America.
Changes in technology led to the closure of the station in 1995 and it has since been abandoned. It was once a center of technology and innovation but now sits in ruins.
