On Thursday, May 19, more than 70 guests joined United Way for a reception and exclusive look at innovative technology and educational programs that are changing the St. Louis region for the better. Randy Schilling from OPO Startups, Bruce Sowatsky from Community and Children’s Resource Board of St. Charles County and Julie Russell from United Way spoke on exciting programs leading the way in creating lasting change to help local people. The event was held at OPO Startups in St. Charles, MO and also provided delicious food and beverages to attendees.
Creating a place to create is wonderful. However, after I organize my art room, I find I still love to paint at my kitchen table like I did when I was a kid!

Curatorial leaders in the fields of African, African American, and diasporic art gather for a daylong symposium. Through formal presentations, object talks by students, and a panel of alumni, the symposium creates a space to talk about what it means to curate black art today, and how the museum itself is challenged and changed through a focus on works by artists of color.

10 artists/designers will be twinned with 10 photographers and an Anglepoise light.
