CHEF dsm8954 calls this challenge “Tag, You’re it” and wants us to use graffiti (plus other elements) to emphasize the contrast between real world and artistically created ingredients. (Read carefully and don't skip the footnotes! Lots of details here to absorb.)
➤ Your image must use a color SOOC* image of a surface, such as a wall, train car, barn, bridge, old box truck, etc.
➤ You must use self-created**, hand-drawn-looking graffiti on this surface (graphic drawings and/or typography).
➤ The subject of the graffiti must relate to LOVE.
➤ Your image must contain at least one non-human creature (bird, ape, giant grasshopper, alien, etc.) that is part of the overall scene, outside of the graffiti. (Cartoon characters are allowed if not copyrighted material.)
➤ No added textures outside of the graffiti.
Could little Ollie the Opossum actually 'fall' for a graffiti princess? No pun intended....

On Unst, Shetland’s northernmost island, a striking Viking longhouse and ship replica offer a vivid glimpse into Norse life and legacy.
Unst is believed to be the first landfall of Vikings in the North Atlantic, and today it boasts the highest density of rural Viking sites in the world—over 60 longhouse remains have been identified across the island. The Viking Unst Project, centered in Haroldswick, brings this history to life through two captivating reconstructions: a 9th-century longhouse and the Skidbladner, a replica of the famed Gokstad ship.
The longhouse, built using traditional materials and techniques, stands as a tactile interpretation of Norse domestic architecture. Its turf walls, timber frame, and central hearth evoke the communal warmth and practicality of Viking living. Visitors can explore the interior freely, gaining insight into how families cooked, slept, and gathered in these elongated, multifunctional spaces. The reconstruction draws on archaeological findings from three key Unst sites—Hamar, Underhoull, and Belmont—each revealing layers of Norse settlement from around 1025 to 1220.
Just steps away, the Skidbladner rests beside Harold’s Wick, its sleek silhouette echoing the seafaring prowess of Viking explorers. Modeled after the Gokstad ship discovered in Norway, this replica showcases the craftsmanship and navigational ingenuity that enabled Norse expansion across Europe. With its clinker-built hull and graceful curves, the ship is both a tribute to Viking engineering and a symbol of their adventurous spirit.
Together, the longhouse and ship form a compelling open-air museum, accessible year-round and free to explore. They’re not just static displays—they’re immersive storytelling tools, anchoring Unst’s identity in its Norse heritage. Whether you’re tracing the footsteps of settlers or marveling at maritime design, these reconstructions offer a tangible connection to a time when Unst was a frontier of Viking ambition.

I created the bird in DDG Text 2 Dream and cut out the background.
Then, I created a pattern from Virginia's source, used the top strip three times (one mirrored), then layered a Wombo Dream Ai face on top to change the colors. Last, I applied three Topaz Studio looks.
This is about ten layers.

A summation point of the "Classic Re-Mixes" that preceded this image. Being unable to resist SOTN's challenge ( I was an abstract painter for 15 years before coming to the photographic arts ), I thought a good place to take this Classical Re-Mix thing before moving on would be into abstraction.
Here, I've done that with a lot of Monet's and a van Gogh, which lends a lovely "brushstroke" feeling to the texture of this and the following piece "A New Europa". Everything you see in these two pieces comes from painting except for some glowing edges and a bit of bevelling I applied to certain shapes.
Classical painting images sourced from Google Images.

Created for "Flight" challenge Digitalmania. Photoshop with peacock feathers from Pixabay. Seems I have Escher on my mind. Saw a wonderful exhibition of his work in Florida a few months ago, and watched a documentary about him last week. This just happened, was not thinking of Escher at all when I did it.
