Had a lot of fun today playing with photos on my iPad while flying over the U.S. on my way to Michigan. The odd spire - that I tripled above - towers over Pershing Square in downtown Los Angeles. I suspect it has a purpose but I have no idea what it is!

It's been raining all week, and I thought I'd have to pass on this week's challenge ... until Sunday morning, when the sun came out!

So - this is my neighbourhood. Across the road - a field of barley - behind the back fence - a field of barley - and surrounding the village - more fields of barley. Well, we are on the whisky trail ;o)

This small barley head is just 3cm in length, not counting the 'beard' which I wanted to include as well!

Created for and featured in "The Kreative People" Group's Spring Gallery retrospective of my work.

Taking the "stellated extreme mirroring" technique further out by moving the image into asymmetry. The natural tendency when working with geometry is to go symmetrical. It seems like the right thing to do. Here I decided, as with Pano-Sabotage, to break the rules and give the form more life by making it's composition less regimented.

Every element is from a Pano-Sabotaged image. My goal with PS is to take it as far into Art as I can, even to the point of the medium almost losing it's identifying markers. One always has to see how far one can go.

Originally created for Macro Mondays theme, "Forks." Well I've been going with sharply detailed focus lately so I figured it was time to mix things up a bit. I knew this was a job for the

When I heard that this week's theme was forks, I thought to myself, 'What can I do with a fork that hasn't been done before?"

Pentacon lens and it didn't disappoint. Focus DoF can be so overrated. :) When I was done with 'the shoot" I wound up with a few images that I liked, this is one of them. All the images were created with the 50mm Pentacon f/1.8 with a Nikon PK-13 27.5mm extension tube, one fork, one window screen, one piece of aqua colored paper, some cleaner in a squirt bottle (not used for this shot) and the morning sun for light. Single image processed in Photoshop.
