[A note to you, my friends! The previous two photos, of the pineapple flower and tree philodendron inflorescence, are in my stream because I had to upload them a second time. You'll find identical images - but each with a series following in the comments - in their respective sets. I needed to have the images without the following series and I didn't want to delete the comment with the series! No need for you to comment on them here. ;-)]
Over 150 looks. Item number JJX35, Mattel 2026. The accessories shown are included with the doll (the set also includes a doll stand with a white base). The white sandals fit the tall doll body a bit loosely (Kit 001 from the “You Create” series, 2025, includes the same sandals kind in black). The beige boots are also the same model as in Kit 002 from the first series (2025); unfortunately, the heels are bent, just like in the first edition. I’ve found a way to fix them.
The clothes fit perfectly. I like the colors and materials; the shorts are among my favorites. The material is similar to faux leather; I know from other Barbie series that this material isn’t durable, but I still love the details and the fact that the shorts have pockets. Attaching the hair clips was a bit tricky for me. They look pretty on the mermaid’s face. The hairband goes perfectly with Lara, and the earrings and sunglasses look great on Nichelle. The long skirt can be worn as a dress, and the patterned B top can be styled in different ways.
Lara and Nichelle’s hair ends were different lengths and didn’t look good—they were very uneven, so I had to trim some of the ends. The mermaid’s hair was stiff at first, but after washing it, it’s as soft as the other two and easy to comb.
I only bought this set; I didn’t like the other two kits as much. I like the idea of having one doll body and swapping out different heads. I also loved the first collection because of the wigs; they can be styled in so many ways.
The doll box is beautifully crafted; as well as the box from the first series—they’re great for safely storing the dolls and accessories :)
I compared the skin tone of the heads and of the body to the dolls I have at home. The skin color that seemed most similar to me is of “Horseback Riding Cali Girl Lea.” It’s not a perfect match, but the difference is small, so it could be an alternative.

In this photo collage, one might think that Kentland, Indiana was a busy place. NOT SO. It took me 5 years of sitting for HOURS waiting for these trains...lol But, I waited, with extreme patience, and got lots of photos like these. This collage shows what 90% of my time was doing between 1982 and 1987. Not only did I get the Milw, Soo, ATSF & Conrail but I got plenty of "merger" photos (bandits, both engines & cabooses), lots of MKT, KCS, SP & unlettered early lease engines, plenty of roadname car shots and always caboose photos. My next collage will be cab shots in Kentland from the same roads as above. I am so glad I lived here during this time and took photos.
Photo #1--Milwaukee Road train #204 comes blasting through Kentland on April 6th, 1984 with Milw SD40-2 #27+1. No work today. View looks N/E from the opposite side of the NYC depot. Engineer is waving and the Conrail sign photobombed the shot. I think the triangle CR yellow sign with a black dot in the middle was some sort of flanger sign.
Photo #2--Conrail's Kentland turn rolls into the siding to tie up for the day on October 30th, 1984 with CR #3390-3278, 10 cars and CR caboose #21216. This was the only time I ever saw them tie their train down here. Normally, they made it back to Lyons. View looks N/E from the north end of the pass track.
Photo #3--Northbound Soo Line train #201 is running early on July 2nd, 1987 with Soo #788-787-743 and Soo caboose #52. View looks S/W from the south side of town. Train is seen crossing Allen Street.
Photo #4--The morning eastbound Santa Fe pig train is starting to roll just moments after a southbound Milw train cleared on June 8th, 1985 with 2 Santa Fe's (can't really make out the numbers, could be #3607-6351) and cab was ATSF #999325. View looks W/N/W from where the tower was.
Photographically speaking, it seems as though I like to photograph trains coming into the shot from the left.....

With the motto: "If you without women's development", and with luck he had on his side the European Parliament based in Brussels, 7 March 2016 an EU-CELAC Summit (the Latin American countries was created and Caribbean), which was held in the Belgian capital the day before the March 8, international women's day. For every euro earned by a man, his colleagues earn 84 cents and almost a third of women with children work part-time because of family responsibilities. So women of Belgium open their borders to Latin America and the Caribbean for you in the world there is no gender equality and economic empowerment of women.

Keith Page - Tell Me Why. Tell Me Why was produced by WILL-TV, Urbana, and features Keith Page, speech and dramatics professor at Edison Junior High School in Champaign, Illinois. The series is based on a series of loosely connected episodes which invariably work around to an explanation of how some organ or part of the body functions. The situations for these segments are realistic in that they are created and dramatized in a realistic manner. Circa 1964.

The Dragon is probably my favourite, at first it was the Sea Monster but I don't seem to be able to photograph her well, so Miss Dragon stole the top spot. Love this wig once it's straightened, doesn't look too high on her head now. :)
I've decided to call her Aden Ddraig, Aden is Welsh for "Wing" and Ddraig is welsh for "Dragon", and since there's a Dragon on the Welsh flag, I think it fits. n_~
I've been terribly negligent with my Flickr account, so I'm finally getting caught up on uploading some of my favorites from the last year+!
I created this picture, when i was on vacation with my family to Kashmir. Kashmir, is known as the "Switzerland of India", and any one who has visited the place will vouch for that. While on my trek to Sonamarg, suddenly noticed this stream, meandering past, and thought of capturing the scene. Included the sunlight glare to add a bit of a drama to the scene.
The Fogg Dam Conservation Reserve is a protected area consisting of wetlands and surrounding monsoon and dry forests approximately 70 km (43 mi) east of Darwin in the Northern Territory of Australia (a comfortable 1 hour drive from Darwin CBD or suburbs).
The Reserve lies within the Adelaide and Mary River Floodplains, which is an Important Bird Area.
Fogg Dam Conservation Reserve was created after the demise of an unsuccessful rice farming project which operated in the late 1950s and early 1960s. The dam was originally created as dry season water storage facility for the rice crop.
The reserve attracts a wide range of local and migratory water birds and other wildlife including one of the largest populations of snakes within Australia (including the Water Python and Death Adder), and includes a several raised observation platforms.
Saltwater Crocodiles (Crocodylus porosus) and Freshwater Crocodiles (Crocodylus johnstoni) can be seen at Fogg Dam all year around.
Fogg Dam is open 24 hrs per day all days of the year. The only limitation is that during very heavy monsoon rain periods, water may overflow the dam wall (which serves as a road through the reserve) and limit traffic to high-clearance vehicles.
In some years, the dam wall may be temporarily damaged by monsoon rain overflows and be impassable for a short section.
The open nature of the reserve along the dam wall makes it an excellent site for birds in flight (BIF) photography.
The highest bird activity for BIF photography occurs later in the wet and early dry season (say March to June) when thousands of waterbirds and other water-attracted species are moving around the reserve.
Passerine species can be best photographed from treed areas, and the Woodlands and Monsoon Forest tracks.

At the beginning of the American Civil War in 1861, the house was the site of the killing of Col. Elmer E. Ellsworth during the Union Army's takeover of Alexandria. Ellsworth was a popular and highly prominent officer and a close friend of President Abraham Lincoln.
Ellsworth was the first conspicuous Union Army casualty and the first officer killed in battle during the war. He was shot by the inn's proprietor James W. Jackson after removing a Confederate flag from the roof of the inn. Jackson was immediately killed after he killed Ellsworth. Ellsworth's death became a cause célèbre for the Union, while Jackson's death became the same for the Confederacy."

“AFFAIRS IN ALEXANDRIA….The announcement that a Confederate States' flag would be hoisted on the flag-staff at the Marshall House, collected quite a large assemblage in that neighborhood yesterday afternoon. The flag was hoisted about 4 o’clock, and greeted with cheers and a salute of artillery…..Several American flags in addition to those already up, were raised yesterday at private residences in this city.

“….A messenger who came in from Alexandria this evening, says there are not one hundred and fifty troops in the place, and they are not all armed. It is true that the secession flag still floats over the town. Senator Wade, upon observing it with a glass from the President's room yesterday, expressed his regret to Mr. Lincoln that it should be tolerated; to which Mr. L. replied that he did not think it would wave there long."

Important Points to be Captured.
Washington, May 17.
“It is the prevailing impression here today….that an attack on Harper s Ferry, the seizure of Alexandria, and the capture of Pensacola, are events very near at hand. It is confirmatory of this that the troops at the North enlisted for three years service are ordered to be here immediately.
The fourteen regiments of New York in addition to her quota, are ordered here today. The Government will have seventy thousand men here by the end of this month and will then be in a condition to make important movements. The Government is ready for them at any moment and will not permit the rebels to remain there but a few days longer.
The President remarked a day or two since that the Eastern part of Virginia would be taken possession of and the rebel flag in Alexandria which can be seen from the White House wave there no longer.”

ARRIVAL OF THE REMAINS OF COLONEL ELLSWORTH AT THE NAVY YARD.
"The remains of Colonel Ellsworth were escorted up to the Navy Yard by the Mount Vernon, under Lieutenant Pendergrast, and were placed in the neat little engine-house of the yard, the fire apparatus having been removed. The body was laid on a small bench, and covered with the national flag, with a wreath of flowers upon the breast. The building was draped in flags and crape, and a special guard of the seventy-firs t regiment placed on duty about it, with orders to admit no person; but as the doors and windows were all open, the crowd outside had a very good opportunity of viewing the body. The flags about the yard were all at half-mast, and a spirit of deep grief pervaded the entire vicinity.
The President of the United States and Mrs. Lincoln visited the remains of Colonel Ellsworth, which were laid out in the engine-house of the navy yard, yesterday afternoon. The sight of the corpse of the gallant Colonel, who was looked upon as one of their household, caused both of them to shed tears freely.
THE FLAG.
The flag which Colonel Ellsworth captured was seventeen by fourteen feet, and was purchased by forced subscriptions from the citizens of Alexandria, who were threatened by Jackson that, if they refused to subscribe, they would be regarded as inimical to secession, and be treated accordingly. When Colonel Ellsworth was shot, he fell on this flag. A portion of it was shown to us yesterday, much saturated with blood. Several of the Zouaves have cut pieces from the flag, which they intend to preserve as relics.
CHARACTER OF JACKSON.
Jackson has, for a long time, been a terror to the Alexandrians. He is the same man who led the crowd which cut down the pole at Occoquan and who cut an ear from the body of John Brown after he had been hung.”

FURTHER PARTICULARS.
"James Jackson, who killed Col. Ellsworth, was a man of violent character, yet of generous impulses where his prejudices were not immediately roused. He headed the company that not long since cut down the Republican flag at Occoquan, and the Secession flags flying over his house was the first one thrown to the breeze in Alexandria.
As late as the day before yesterday, some of his neighbors remonstrated with him upon essaying to keep it flying in view of the fact that it was highly probable that the troops of the United States would very shortly occupy Alexandria, and it was well known that the disunionists authorities had ordered its evacuation, by the few disunion troops there, at the first moment they might make their appearance. He, however, aware that he would sacrifice his life in keeping it flying -- and by daybreak the next day his oath was fulfilled.
A week ago, a Union man of this city, who was In Alexandria on business, was denounced by a Washington refugee and a band of avowed disunionists threatened to shoot or hang him; when Jackson went to his rescue and threatening to kill any man who molested him, saved him (Mr. Diffendaffer) from the vengeance of some of the most violent and reckless disunionists who for a month past had been the terror of the peaceable people around them.
AFFAIRS IN ALEXANDRIA.
At 9 ½ o’clock last night the body of Jackson was laid out in the parlor of the Marshall House, the corpse dressed in the uniform of the artillery company to which he had belonged. This company is resuscitated from a company in existence there many years ago, and the members wear the uniform worn then. The coat buttons bear the State coat of arms. There was no guard about the house, and no crowd. A few friends of Jackson were superintending the removal of the furniture to the country, and with that exception all was quiet in and about the place,”
