Boom Crash Opera
I always name my images after songs, but this time I've made a slight change. There was a well know band here in Oz during the 80s and early 90s called Boom Crash Opera. I just couldn't resist naming this Long Exposure shot after them. I waited and waited looking through the viewfinder until the rear of the Queen Mary looked like it was just about came in contact with the front sail of the Opera House. I think I timed it pretty well, and this is the final image, processed in B&W with just a hint of colour. Hope you like it...Mike

15 OCT 05 - Everett, WA
This has to count as about the worst thing I've ever seen happen. I watched the plane leaving the airport and saw it was having problems. A few seconds later it crashed and killed all 3 people on board.
My thoughts
When you’re angry
and ready to overflow
I will stand firm, hold you,
so you can let go.
Let you crash into me
Like a runaway train
You will consume me
But i can’t walk away.
Words to the Picture
The biggest problem after taking pictures is choosing which one to upload. Got a series of this shot, with different ways how the waves come in. Decided to stick with this one, cuz it made me stop and look at it longer than the others when i was going trough the series.
In advance

Yep. That really is two cars flying through the air. Pretty amazing what a junkyard crane operator can do.

Early mariners often crashed upon these rocks after mistakenly setting their course for this point, believing that it was the entrance to Monterey Bay. -Pebble Beach Resort website
Who was Joe? Joe was a Chinese man who lived alone in a driftwood home near this point in the early 1900s. He made a living selling trinkets to tourists and tending goats. No one knows for sure if the point was named after Joe or if he was named after the point.

Two lost Republic troopers come across a ship crash with Sith troopers in the wreckage. Could this mean trouble or rescue from the barren cold of Hoth?
It was significantly complicated to create this scene, and a Sith trooper's legs were burned in the process.
Also, I'm back in action! After a brief dark age, I've decided to come back with more LEGO scenes and change my name back to MinifigGuy.

A crash assignment means you go to school, get a subject, shoot for max 2 hours, come back to school and show your image(s).

Haha, uh, oops. well, the chain came off and I lost my footing. I went to urgent care the next morning and got some X-rays of my knee, their were no broken bones or fractures. I just have some tissue damage.
This was 3 days ago, and I’m doing a lot better. (I can walk a little )
