I always wanted a craft/sewing room for my dolls. My son made this dollhouse for me and I finally decided that it would be the designated room. I decided not to paint or paper the walls and leave the wood look, partly because I might want it to be something else someday. I do have windows for it but I don't feel like getting into that today. The hanging light is from IKEA. I hung it on jewelry chain from a cup hook. I was so happy with it , I wanted to share!
A fun little craft for quick travel, loosely inspired by an old motorcycle sidecar and it's namesake, morphing into what you see here. I built this back in October for Bricking Bavaria's iteration of New Hashima, hope you like it!
The girls were out of school this week and came to visit for a few days. I like to do arts and crafts projects with them when they come over. We had fun making paper mache pumpkins. This project took several days.

Posted an image of these before, but had another attempt during the day and went for mono as getting into B&W quite a bit now.
Long exposure to try and bring a different take to these old x-craft from World War II that are slowly rotting on the beach at Aberlady Bay.
This location is definately a tide out only as the flats are pretty level so you could get cut off quite easily.
These are mini subs that carried only 2 people so they are pretty small.
Added noise to skies as suggested previously but still having banding issues especially in mono Long Exposure shots. Adding the noise layer doesn't seem to help in many circumstances. I have tried several options, but can't see to get rid of it so any advice appreciated on how to darken skies without introducing banding. If I left the sky as it was I wouldn't encounter this problem so maybe that's the answer..

The Great 150 Scavenger Hunt: #112 Something bright and colourful
I do a lot of crafts and more often than not it seems, I incorporate some sort of fibers into them. They have become a staple part it seems of so many crafts I make. As a result I have built up a great supply of many wonderful textures and colours. This is a small sample of some brightly coloured ones. Incidentally, it turns out that some make great bokeh! :)
My travels around the UK by car for three weeks with my son. June/July 2019 England.
Day Eleven .. Visiting the Liverpool Docklands before making our way to Blackpool for the night.
The Museum of Liverpool in Liverpool, England, is the newest addition to the National Museums Liverpool group having opened in 2011 replacing the former Museum of Liverpool Life. National Museums Liverpool intention is for the new venue to tell the story of Liverpool and its people, and reflect the city’s global significance. The museum is housed in a new purpose-built building on the Mann Island site at the Pier Head.
Exhibits from the entirety of National Museums Liverpool's collections are used for the Museum of Liverpool's displays. They tell the story of the city through items from collections of costume and decorative art, entomological and botanical collections and objects representing social and urban history, as well as oral testimonies, archaeological material and photographic archives.
The Museum displays are divided into four main themes: The Great Port, Global City, People’s Republic, and Wondrous Place, located in four large gallery spaces. On the ground floor, displays look at the city's urban and technological evolution, both local and national, including the Industrial Revolution and the changes in the British Empire, and how these changes have impacted the city's economic development. The upper floor looks at Liverpool's particular and strong identity through examining the social history of the city, from settlement in the area from Neolithic times to the present day, migration, and the various communities and cultures which contribute to the city's diversity.

This full size stainless steel sculpture of a representation of a Supermarine Spitfire, has been erected on an island of a new connection road in Stoke On Trent. www.stokesentinel.co.uk/news/stoke-on-trent-news/meet-art...
The sculpture was erected in memory of the Spitfire designer, Reginal Mitchell (Born in Butt Lane, Staffordshire, he also designed the Schnieder Trophy winning seaplane amongst others). The sculpture is a stainless steel made from a design by the artist Suhail Shaikh, which he also used to produce the smaller scale paper representation on show at the Potteries Museum and Art Gallery. A photo of this paper sculpture can be seen here; www.flickr.com/photos/119509436@N06/40555423222/in/photol...
There are many sculptures of Mitchell's craft around Stoke On Trent, but none as famous as "The Spit".

Beautiful crafts that you can find only in Colombia! like the Wayúu backpack, and so much more other colorful things
BUT they’re all too flat. I have sticky squares but I think they’re too high. I love the look and am seriously thinking of modifying a set of Gloria dishes with these designs and some Mod Podge! If I did I’d do a mixed set. I love the floral design on the Tartan.
I was cleaning my craft room this weekend.
Sorry for the bad light, this is my garage and has no natural light:-(

I am a craft magazine addict so instead of trying to find a creative solution to organize ALL my years of issues, I keep only my favorites. The rest I cut up with an Exacto knife. I cut out the pages that I want to save for later and organize them by subject in binders full of page protectors. The sections of my binders are organized by jewelry, interior design, holidays, etc.
