I am so, so grateful to be able to work part-time. Having Fridays off allows me to have some very-much-needed work/life balance.
Whether it's my Project Life album, or a craft project, time working on my photos, having even a few minutes of quiet time on a Friday morning recharges me in particular way.
I struggle so much with finding (making) time for myself. But whenever I do, I am reminded that it's OK to put myself on the list too.
the bird stamp i traced from a wonderful doorbell plate from flopping fish. the bird on the bottom right is the first trial stamping; you can see that i hadn't carved out the legs yet. the last trial stamping is the bird on top. i really love this stamp and used it right away to decorate the front of a postcard to a friend.

Whoever said “happiness is handmade” was right. This crafting party is really fun!
For the theme “Make a winter craft” in the Blythe a Day group on Flickr.
I found this photo on my computer this weekend and realized I never uploaded it.

One of my children made this in elementary art class. They put glaze on and their teacher finished it in the school kiln
7DoS - Week #40 (w/b 9 April) Begins With The Letter D
Back to the alphabet, for this week! The letter D must represent your subject … dogs, dolls, damaged, dancing you get the idea but don’t forget the donuts!!
for the Most Versatile challenge in the Compositionally Challenged group and for the weekly challenge - 'framed'
I made these characters just for fun, cause I´ve been sewing so much these days that they are the only "people" I talk to sometimes =-*
I hope you like =-)
Craft Nite at my place, treats were eaten, drinks were drunk and everyone made amazing thingamajigs and whozits! Good times!
The Vaygr Assault Craft is the smallest dedicated combat vessel in the Vaygr fleet. specializes in dogfighting other fighters, with excellent speed, maneuverability, and a single, powerful forward-mounted Flechette Cannon. It is sometimes classed as an 'interceptor' by other races, and this suits it well as it excels at intercepting and destroying other fighters.
Last year, I had the fortune of working with BrickFormation to develop several models from one of my all-time favorite strategy game franchises: Homeworld. Homeworld has always had a special place in my heart due to it's incredible spaceship designs and I'm happy to have had the opportunity to reproduce a few as best as I could. While this build has been done for quite some time, it can finally be posted, because the kit is officially for sale!
As this is my last post in a while, I also wanted to add a short update on things. Other than these models with Brickformation, my LEGO building has been at a standstill for most of the past year. I recently moved and all of my LEGO is currently in boxes with no timeline on when it will next be unearthed. I seem to be continuing a trend of building less and less things each year and am not sure quite when that trend will reverse. That said, I continue to enjoy watching the creative models that this community continues to put on display and hope one day to jump back in as time allows.
