Flying Dog Tire Bite Golden Ale 12oz
German-style Kolsch
Flying Dog Brewery, Frederick Maryland
Ralph Steadman Label
The derivation of the name is not known to me but may be a reference to George Tirebiter, according to Phillip Austin (The Firesign Theatre)
The dog, the immortal George Tirebiter, was the doughty unofficial
mascot of USC (Univ. South. Calif.) athletic teams in earlier
times, renowned for his devotion to attacking the spinning wheels
of large American automobiles....
There is a USC memorial to this plucky, but stupid dog elsewhere on Flickr.

(I've had a number of their beers, and enjoyed all of them; I got this recently when I had their Oatmeal Stout somewhere.)

July 23, 2012 - Canada Southern Draft from the Railway City Brewing Company in St. Thomas, Ontario. I picked up a few of these at the brewery a week ago last Thursday. The 500 mL "metric pint" brown glass bottle had a pry-off cap.
It poured out a very light yellow with a couple fingers of dense white head. Canada Southern Draft is meant to be a craft-brewed light beer that actually has some flavour (unlike a famous ammunition nicknamed macro). It is brewed using Pilsner malt and Hallettau & Tettnanger Hops, and checks in at 4.3%. A fine craft-brewed light beer.

Stone rocks! Their Imperial Russian Stout rocks harder than death metal. I am so into this stout that all I see nothing but Stone. If I ever notice its 4:20, I’m cracking a Stone. ‘cuz that would just rock. Just writing about it makes me really want one.
