This is the new Honda CR-V, now in its fifth generation. This is a prototype of a future hybrid version.
These first-generation Honda CR-Vs are now old enough to drink, and this one has custom graphics and white wheels which harken back even further to the kinda Japanese automotive styling you'd see in the mid to late 1980s.

Finland to Italy is certainly a proper trip, I was surprised to find any Finnish plates here, given that there aren't this many Finn's on planet earth. You can easily spot dozens of them in Berlin, but Italy is a big leap down south.
I believe this very early CR-V is a JDM car, imported from Japan in 1998. Often cars from Asia have those window screen things I've noticed. Also note the peculiar mirror on the wing, looks like it aids towing caravans. I like this colour, fairly popular on Vauxhalls in the 90s. This is an interesting import however, as we got near identical CRVs around the same time.
New on 1st August 1998, Honda CR-V S488 ABB is seen here on 15th May 2021. The vehicle survived on the road until March 2023 with it's recorded mileage at it's 2022 MOT being a respectable 208,000 miles.

The first generation of the Honda CR-V was built from 1996 until 2001. Due to the European regulations on car lights and the size of our license plates the rear of the European models differed somewhat from that of the models for sale elsewhere. This one has a temporary plate from the Czech Republic.

It's too unfortunate when countries give up coding their license plates. Moldova is certainly the best/worst example for this. I could notice a rise in Moldovan plates in the past years, but most them were already using the newer, non-coding license plates. The Honda CR-V, however, is a car I have spotted from different countries already. Good for Honda.

It is the Slovakian centre of the Rusyns, a slavic people in the area of Slovakia, Hungary, Ukraine and Serbia.
They're also the largest minority in the city.
