Warum reicht ein negativer Covid-Test in Österreich um einen Friseur zu besuchen, nicht aber für Kulturveranstaltungen?
Vermutlich weil dem Bundeskanzler der Friseur wichtiger ist als die Kultur?!!
Happy Birthday to me, what a nice present... a Covid test, lucky me...
Special thanks to the testers for permission to shoot this series and put up with occasional accidental beeps when my camera hit the car horn as the swab poked my brain 😷

Looks like I finally joined the Covid club! And whilst I slept most of yesterday, today I'm up, dressed and pottering about the house, and feel fine.
I was going to London tomorrow, but thought I'd better do a test, just in case, and bingo, not the result I expected, as I've felt much worse with a common cold.
The home test kits generally provide a fast and reliable result in 30 minutes and unlike PCR tests do not need to be sent to a lab.
They are designed to detect the presence of antigens found in the Covid-19 virus.
One pinkish red line next to the control marker C, indicates a negative results.
A second line next to the marker T (test) is a sign of a positive result.
But some people are reporting a faint second line on their test result. We take a look at what this may reveal.
When levels of virus are high and people are most likely to pass on the disease, lateral flow tests can detect the vast majority of cases, and a clear second line will appear on the test.
According to the gov.uk website, when a person has low levels of virus in their system lateral flow tests are less sensitive than other tests such as PCR at detecting it.
In some cases, a faint second line appears on the test. Government guidance is clear that “… even faint lines, shows the test is positive”, see in the middle of photo
Today finally I was tested Negative ...🙏❤
And the pharmacy hasn't noticed yet. They offer COVID testing and COVID vaccination.

Darek & I tested negative for Covid today! Yahoo! I'm going to be more careful, regardless of what the government is telling us.

Day 24 of lockdown.
Oh dear, me bad ... it wasn't until I got this snap on the computer, that I saw the "No Photography" sign ... woops. Anyways, it's all part of what lockdown is about and there isn't anyone in the pic, so that should be OK :)
I've walked past here many times and it never seems to be very busy ... maybe I'm just there at the quiet times. But it's nice to know that if I feel the need to be covid tested, there is somewhere nearby.
If you need to take a Covid Test, a self-collection kit is available by Pixel on LabCorp.

Thanksgiving's approach has led to a line for covid tests which wraps around this block in Brooklyn.
Flatbush Avenue, Prospect Heights. Brooklyn, NY
Up at the break of day, in line for a COVID test. I have had three of these tests in a week and a half. There have been a few people at my job who were exposed or tested positive. I am ready for that vaccine.
Done before the Christmas gathering of 5 family members staying over for 3 days, all vaccinated except our 2 year old grandson. All tested negative ( no redline towards T on the marker ).
If only it were that simple!
Big C is in the house and we all have it. I suppose it was only a matter of time.
Thankfully our symptoms are relatively mild all around (so far), but I'm scrambling to figure out how to get my hands on some Paxlovid (an antiviral for the immunocompromised) for myself. Naturally the quality and clarity of the guidance from our public health system is so really fucking awesome I have no words.

Earlier this summer, when I got a COVID test. (it was negative)
I was in line for four hours. Actual test took 2 minutes. Results came 10 days later.
The American Express Community Stadium nestles in the South Downs, and Falmer Village. It's home to Premier League Football club Brighton and Hove Albion. In late March the Uk went into lockdown because of the coronavirus and all football stopped. The stadium has stood empty since then.
That was until the Government pledged to be testing 100,000 people a day for the coronavirus by the end of April. The Amex stadium along with 47 other sites across the country was set up by the Department of Health as a drive-thru testing centre. I could have photographed the busy entrance, the drive through tents or the signs along the road asking drivers not to open their windows but it seemed disrespectful.
So instead I took what looks to be a landscape of a quiet, peaceful location, but which hides an important site in the countries fight against coronavirus.
Getting tested to enter Canada
Pre-entry test result requirements:
All travelers’ 5 years of age or older, regardless of citizenship, must provide proof of a COVID-19 test result to enter Canada.
All travelers’ must provide one of the accepted types of tests, not an antigen test, including those who are fully vaccinated.
When and where to get a pre-entry test result;
If you're driving, you must take a test in the United States within 72 hours of your planned entry into Canada.
If you’re entering by water, you must take a test within 72 hours of your planned entry to Canada.
**( Since Tok is only 93 miles from the Canadian border - the Mobile clinic allows you to get tested well within the 72 hours required. I shot this image early in the morning, just before the clinic opened. By mid-morning there was a line up of vehicles with traveler's waiting to get tested. )

Under guidance from the Pennsylvania Department of Health, and monitored by CDC officials, Pennsylvania National Guard members with Task Force Ghostrider launched a point prevalence sampling strike team in Lancaster. The mission is designed to identify possible risks of exposure to COVID-19 by testing the entire staff and residents for the virus. All personnel heading to the city from abroad still need medical observation and nucleic acid testing.
After a restless night, I woke not feeling so well so I thought I'd better take a Covid test – happily it was negative.
Felt a bit off yesterday so tested this morning, +ve and I have had two inocculations a booster my fourth jab due to Alpha-1 Antitrypsin Deficiency Syndrome and had Covid 2 years ago! Just goes to show its still out there and there should be no complacency.
Rue Saint-Antoine 22/12/2021 10h13
The current street scene during covid-19. Many pharmacies have a tent as a test location on the street.
Rue Saint-Antoine
Rue Saint-Antoine is an ancient road in the 4ème arrondissement of Paris. It is one of the components of the main "East-West" axis of Paris. The street starts at the Place de la Bastille and ends at the Saint-Paul metro station, where, under the name of Rue de Rivoli, it extends as far as the Place de la Concorde. This "east-west" axis extends eastward, beyond the Place de la Bastille, by the Rue du Faubourg-Saint-Antoine.
Located in both quartiers Arsenal and Saint-Gervais. The street lenght is 603 meters and the width 21 meters.
