Part of my sampling in my coursework sketchbook. These samples show my landscape photographs overlayed on photo shop with material textures which I had previously scanned in to the computer. By changing the opacity, and effects it allowed me to change how each photograph was viewed.

This is my AS coursework final which is approximately 4 A4 pages in length and a little wider than the width of of an A4 page. This is in three sections which each hang from each other to create a wall hanging. The 3 sections are; generations of women, generations of men and generations of marriage. I have used photograohs of my own family applied to fabric and paper/card using graphite transfers, stitching and selotape transfers after working into the bases and using lace and embellishments to decorate. I have created each piece by layering many pieces of material, tissue paper, tracing paper and white emulsion. To finish the piece I coffee stained the whole thing to give it an aged appearance and hung it from a stick attached by lace to give it an authentic feel.
This is my Final Piece of my Coursework. I belived I included all the skills I learnt along the way and all the ideas I had been gathering and put them together to create this.
This, again, was extremely interesting to paint, as it is a composition I put together out of my imagination. The bodies are out of the series of photos I took, the feathers off of the piece of my first page (although this time I challenged myself to paint them) and I carried on with the idea of masking the individuals as Magritte did.
The lace on the tshirt was done with indian ink and the rest was all painted with acrylic.
I believe the background works well with the piece. I used a big brush and dry-brushed red oxide on to black card. I also carried on the feather boah onto the background as I believed it would link it all together.
