After yesterday's photo, introducing the series, here's a shot of the frames ready to go into college tomorrow. I finished all the work to go with it tonight,
Over 20 layers of paint and detail, covered by thick white paint, leaving two main qualities behind. The paint has been moulded and sculpted to form energy and to reveal history. A lot of my personal emotion went into this painting and the white paint covers this, signifying closure.
At the top of the page is a study which I have done for my current Fine Art project of one of Dave McKean's illustrations. I did this study in Acrylic paints as they are thick and allow texture.
Below is a study of Gerald Scarfe's illustration as part of Pink Floyd's The Wall. I chose to paint this in inks as they are much more vibrant in colour compared to normal watercolours, and they also allowed me to use a less time-consuming and looser technique to recreate the effect similar to the original.

When I signed up for this data protection course, I didn't expect the folder to be quite so big!
