Cycling in Spain 2022 for Tashi Lhunpo
Tuesday, Oct. 18: When I was packed this morning except for the tent and tarp, I noticed that a bag for pegs was missing. I had installed the tarp the day before in a strong inland wind, it could have blown away.
When I went looking in the adjacent plots, I met Jacques from Vries (Netherlands). He helped me look for a while — in vain. The empty peg bag must have ended up somewhere between my clothes or sleeping bag.
Afterwards we had a pleasant conversation. Jacques admires my commitment to #cyclingfortibet and is going to make a donation. And I admire and respect his wife and him because they are taking their severely disabled son Tom with them on the trip. By the way, Tom lives with them at home. Talk about commitment…
And Tom was clearly happy to be in the picture.
A round of applause for this courageous family!
