While walking on the Embarcadero, I came upon this beautiful young couple. I was so struck by their joyful enthusiasm at being in San Francisco. Their home is in the desert where it must be close to 120 degrees this week.
This cute couple posed for a portrait before getting back to making toys. It's a busy time of year for them! :-)
I got the female elf from Bricklink. I believe she was a BAM exclusive last year.....
I bought myself a 40mm macro lens... I think it will be helpful for shots like this when I want a slightly wider angle of view than my usual 60mm lens. So far I like it!
I was really pleased to get some images with both the male (left) and female ( right ) on the same perch, something I have always wanted.
Again these images are taken at Marks Hide markhughesimages.net couldn't recommend the experience too highly :0) My second visit

This image is my first image to gain interest from a major magazine. I was contacted by a woman from "Ski Magazine" in regards to this photo a couple of months ago, and today I recieved a copy of the magazine with my photo in it.
I didn't get the check yet, but heh, it's sort of nice considering I took this shot about a month after getting my first DSLR. I just stuck it on Bulb and went with the longest exposure I could without a cable release (30 seconds)...
Nikon 18-200vr
This adolescent moose has been handing around our neighborhood for a couple of weeks. With the deep snow with a layer of embedded ice is limiting their movement.
I've been told the word "moose" comes from the Algonquin Language that means "Twig Eater". in this shot he's chowing down on twigs.
I always describe the moose here as Clydesdales on stilts. When they are on a road like this you get a sense of how long their legs are.
It looks like a young bull to me.

Is this just not the most handsome couple you've ever seen? Lighting set-up same as the last one. Lens just as big and uncomfortable to tote. Awesome though!
