Irish General Election, 2007. Galway-West Constituency Count Centre.
What it's all about? A ballot paper being counted. Ireland attempted to move to electronic voting some time ago but there was a problem with the perceived security of the software that lead to the electorate rejecting it and hence, we still use paper ballots. The government spent €50,000,000 on the technology and is now storing it at an annual cost to the tax payer of several million more Euros.

The climb from Zinacatepec towards Oaxaca in the 135D road was a filthy little thing. It wound its way for hours and over 40km to 2300ft before flattening out and disappointing Ian who kept visualising a downhill beyond every corner

This week I participated in that great event that happens every 10 years... the US Census! So, like any political/government happening, you get a sticker! (this linked picture is from the first time I ever got to vote.. in 2007! That's right, I was excited for the midterm election! I'm even wearing my class ring)
I really didn't want Evansville getting to count me as a resident.. I do vote in Dayton after all, not Evansville! But we filled out special College Resident forms, so I think it might get counted that this isn't my permanent legal residence. Who knows. They made me do it (I got an email before the last day telling me I had to go fill it out by law). Darn. I still love you more, Ohio!
