While the views from the castle atop the peninsula were beautiful, I couldn't resist wandering "off the beaten path" to see what I might behold from within the trees...
We played a game wherein we counted cows on each of our sides of the car. Throughout the trip the cows had an uncanny knack for being on Ellen's side. When we ran into this herd on a backroad, we couldn't simply turnaround -- for that would put the cows on my side and I would be able to count them. Instead, we drove about a half-mile in reverse. She's sneaky like that, Ellen is.
