Seen at 172nd Street
Had a great birthday weekend. Had a nice dinner date even further uptown than this; dinner turned into breakfast. Then called a friend up near there, visited him for lunch. Then Tyra called me out to Queens for dinner. LOL
I had a full belly and a beautiful Sunday all over New York City.
I love this place.

Books are important in our house.
Here are the shelves holding our "special" books. On the top shelf, left side, are these truly amazing pop-up books. Top shelf, right side, is:
* The first edition Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep by Philip K. Dick that remcat gave me on our first Christmas.
* An uncorrected proof of Orson Scott Card's Hart's Hope, also a gift from remcat.
* An early edition Wizard of Oz that I gave remcat on our first Christmas.
* An early edition The Adventures of Remi.
Also on the top shelf are the really cool bookends Dave and Katy gave me and a ceramic car painted by one of the Clones.
On the bottom shelf, left side, are remcat's Oz and Oz-related books. Bottom shelf, right side, are Nick Bantock's Griffin & Sabine books.
Also on the bottom shelf are the ceramic picture frame that Clone #2 painted for me, and the purple, heart-shaped bottle that Joyce and Barbara gave us at their wedding reception.
Tony Stark has attempted once more to thwart Galactus' plans. This time, though, things didn't work out all that well. Galactus's tight grip on Stark's leg is making it difficult for him to escape. The world's oldest fermented beverage made from honey has been a popular drink from Europe to Australia dating back to long before Viking Times. One of the earliest references to fermented honey can be found in the Hindu's of India's holy books, the Veda books, which date back 4000 years and possibly even earlier than that.
The oldest known recipe for mead to be written down in the Nordic countries was in 1520 by the Archbishop Olaus Magnus. The recipe comprised of water, honey, hops and brewers yeast, and concludes, that "on the eight day it may be drunk, but the longer it is left, the purer and better it will be."
Our products are brewed based on a recipe from about year 1700, and the ingredients are pure and 100 pct. natural - gauranteed free from additives of any kind. Honey is the major and most important item in the recipe.

FIT students get an overview of project details. This is a 3,000 sq. ft. residence that will be built in the short time frame of one week. Normally, a project of this magnitude would take approximately four months. Truly a daunting task!

Did this for my illuminated letter project for my art class. Decided on the letter "J" and drew and a picture of a male Eclectus (species) Vosmaeri (subspecies), which is the type of bird/parrot that Joshua -- my parrot -- is. And yes, he's perched up on a tree. I ended up coloring it and whatnot as well.

And yes he is made by the same company that brings you Roomba along with pool cleaning and gutter cleaning robots. I guess both products lines are designed to help us clean up a mess.
