On Saturday morning Ty Pennington, the host of the Makeover show, arrived to direct the final preparations. With only an hour remaining, the entire team pitches in to off-load the donated furniture to complete the makeover project.
It's not above my chamber door, but I do have a "pallid bust of Pallas." No sign of any Ravens, though.

Time for some makeover hijinx! Construction Management students Brennan Klein (Michigan), Steve Craig, Lorenzo Fevola and Mike Matern do a commercial spot for Winn-Dixie Foods, a sponsor of the makeover. Steve and Brennan are spoofing on the camera and displaying their Winn-Dixie Customer Reward Cards.
There was a group of Japanese travelling around Trafalgar Sq. with quirky umbrellas last month. Japanese they have the quirkiest ideas - from packaging to applications.

The set, which commemorates the first cultures to settle in the area, is made up of a hemispherical structure with an engraved spiral called The Ancestors, and two vertical figures called The Origin of the Line, whose shape is an abstraction of the human body.1

Figured I'd get it, since I'm still riding high on a Christopher Nolan kick, having seen the first two Batman reboot movies, and Inception Friday night.
I have to admit, Heath Ledger did a damn good, if somewhat startling, psychotic take on Batman's greatest nemesis. I would have to agree, Batman and the Joker need each other to justify their continued existence. It didn't seem right that in the Tim Burton film from 1989 that the Joker was supposedly killed off. (And then, Tim backed out after the 2nd film, and eventually, Joel Schumacher killed off the first film franchise, and the rest... is history.)

Today is primary election day in Idaho and "Dumpster," the Green iguana (Iguana iguana) wants you to know he voted. He always feels good after he votes because he knows it's a cool thing to do...He also knows that in Idaho his vote doesn't count for much because he's a Democrat. You’ve seen it happen quickly on TV, but in person … it’s amazing. After only three days, this is what 400 workers can do. The walls and roof are completed and the crews are beginning to stucco the exterior and finish the interior walls. A normal work crew would be approximately 40 workers. So this represents ten times the effort!!!
