Here's the mountain-valley differentiated CP. As you can see by the horizontal crease changing M-V-M every time it crosses a crease, it is the last crease made, just to arrange the layers fairly evenly, so that the cut is through fewer layers.
Oscar was more reticent in the snow, having a thinner coat! Seen large, one of the snowflakes on his head is shaped like a star!
On Friday, February 7, 2014, high school and middle school students dashed into the icy Atlantic as part of Special Olympics Virginia’s largest fundraiser: The Polar Plunge and the Cool School Challenge.
“Raising one million dollars for the fourth year in a row is incredible,” said Rick Jeffrey, Special Olympics Virginia president. “More importantly, though, these funds will help us to build bigger, better, more inclusive communities across the state of Virginia.”
In addition to the money raised, they got to take the icy dip into the Atlantic, all while earning a Friday “pass” from school, earn community service credit, Costume contests – prizes for best dressed male and female, prizes for teacher or team sponsor, and freezing photos.

During the hot summer days in Central Mississippi, the Smoothie King near the Mississippi College campus attracts a steady stream of customers. A 2013 MC graduate, Bethany Allen of Clarksdale makes one of their refreshing shakes. Bethany is a Smoothie King team member at the Clinton store off U.S. 80.
The boy recently bought our first Figma and I am. in. love. I need a macro lens to do her justice.

In March 2018, my wife and I decided to take a brief tour through the American Southwest, hitting, Utah, Arizona, and Nevada. We visited a fair number of National and State parks but the highlight of our tour was Waterhole Canyon. We didn't intend to go there; I wanted to go to Antelope Canyons but the owners (the Navajo Nation) really jacked up the prices (I think it was $50/person) and forced you to stay with a group. They also muddled the photography permit process and made it very inconvenient, illogical, and pricey. Because of this we opted for Waterhole Canyon. Getting a permit for this area was also a challenge - mostly finding the little shack. Once we got the permit we were happy hikers.
We pretty much had the canyon to ourselves. At several points we were tempted to turn around but we decided to go on for a few more minutes. Good choice. The canyon has some wide open spaces and then narrows to very tight spaces. It was amazing to see the changes in rock color based on the lighting. I think we spent about three full hours exploring and taking a bunch of photos.
PS - it seems like the Canyon is now private property and you need to take a guided tour. I'm glad we hit it when we did.
In some or other way I must have unknowingly wronged our IT department as I’ve been totally blocked from Flickr for the better part of the past week – Most Frustrating...
But anyway, I finally seem to be up and running again.

I'd missed photographing this 'Cool Zone' shop when I'd visited in 2002, and fortunately, this was one of the very few things in the Ocean Park that had not really changed. I thought I had to satisfy myself with this distant shot due to the gazillion people in front of, and behind me. And yes, I'm referring to the stall at the far end. Poor composition, if you ask me!
