Part of the air-conditioning unit at Cardinal's Stadium in Glendale, Arizona. I was at a football game last fall with my camera and looked up and saw this shiny thing. So I snapped it, knowing it would come in handy for a Shiny Something. Kinda cool on black.
The final shot, for the time-being and possibly altogether, from a pleasant early morning session at Rugeley Trent Valley last week sees DBS Shed 66127 wheeling the 01.28 London Gateway - Trafford Park (4M83) around the curve and beneath the cooling towers of the now-closed Rugeley B Power Station - the steamy atmosphere is no more.
The tankers provide a bit more "industrial" interest to the usual containers, although anyone wanting to snap the train a bit nearer would have been in for a disappointment with most of the flats following the tankers carrying nothing at all.
The line heading off to the right goes to Birmingham, via Cannock and Walsall.

This is a cool, even cold-looking sky with its whites and greys and blues in a stormy looking cloudscape.
Este céu parece mesmo frio, com os seus tons de branco, cinzento e azul que compõem esta paisagem de nuvens tempestuosa.

"To be a photographer, one must photograph. No amount of book learning, no checklist of seminars attended, can substitute for the simple act of making pictures. Experience is the best teacher of all."

I photographed these cooling towers yesterday at dusk after reading about them in Sunday's paper. I'd not see them before and it took me a while to discover the best viewpoint to photograph them, about 2km away from the power station. I'm currently writing a blog post describing how I used Google Maps, Google Street View and PhotoPills to find an unobstructed viewpoint with easy parking at the right time of day. If you're interested, sign up to my newsletter and you'll be the first to read the article when I hit publish. mailchi.mp/0c9b18161b11/newsletter

Perspex sculptural form from "The Wave Project" in Blackpool blended with a stone head photographed at the now defunct Willow Pool reclamation yard in Lymm. You might ask "Why?" To see if I could and there was a hint of a face like shape to begin with.
This feline had the right idea finding somewhere cool to rest in the midday sun! Another shot from Little Venice, Mykonos.

Such a contrast of bus bodies from Alexander, the long established Olympian, produced in vast quantities for the UK & Irish markets, gave way to a completely different body of the ALX400, with the breakthrough to low floor kneeling buses. Its hard to find any similarities between the two buses, a blank canvas.
R.I.P. (20. 12. 2015)
Da ich noch viele niedliche Fotos von Micki besitze, werdet Ihr noch einige zu sehen bekommen.
The hydrangeas are beautiful this year. I really lost my concentration with photography with life happening in May. I hope to get caught up with 125 in 2025. For 125 in 2025 #25 Cool Colors.
Here is my Cortado photo again, which I've tweaked with the Cool Beans pre-set in Topaz Studio.
Topaz Studio has got the layer blending modes that you'd find in Photoshop, and an opacity slider (at the bottom of the interface) so you can blend it with your original photo.
Camera: my iPhone 7 with the ProCamera app set on a 3 second timer. Edited on my PC with Lightroom 5 and Photoshop Elements 11.

When you're as big a fan of shots of Sean Batten's discarded drinks as I am, if you see one labelled 'Cool Shot' only one thing is going to happen...
