It was such a pretty day. This young (high school) couple had fun with a black lab puppy that day.

An early morning saunter down to the beach at Calpe when the sand is cool and the sky is pinky blue. The light is gathering warmth and dusting the world with auburn hues. A whole un-touched day ahead with no toad work to contest your time with.

A little cool studio work is always fun.

I planted them too late and they didn't get any bigger than that--taste great, tho!

Polaroid SX70 OneStep with Impossible PX100 Cool film.

Original scan made on 27 April (the day I took the photo). Just over a week later and there is a noticeable sepia tint creeping in. I'll post another scan in a bit. I've kept these in the polaroid box in my home office but haven't taken any other measures to protect them. Be interested to know if others are finding the tones shifting as well. By comparison the colour shots I've taken have been stored in the same conditions with very little (if any) noticeable shift in colour.

Cooling mats are used to lower the temperature in the greenhouse during the warmer period of the year. Fans at the other side of the greenhouse draw air through the cooling mas which are soaked with water. The cooling effect and the simultaneous increase in air humidity is benficial for most orchids.

Seen at Carter & Holmes Orchids, South Carolina, USA on April 30th, 2016. This was a great visit at the nursery, where I was kindly guided by well-known orchid breeder Gene Crocker through the greenhouses.
