Have a rest and cool off. This favorite bench sits on the bank of Glacier's Pray Lake with Never Laughs Mtn, Painted Teepee Peak and Mt. Sinopah rising in the distance.
We might hit triple digits today. Thought a refreshing snow shot might help.

The very imposing cooling towers is all that is left of this once impressive site. Unfortunately the Shen Hao decides to move slightly causing the nearest tower to get cropped. Not a great photo but still, I think it shows the impressive structures still standing as an industrial land mark.
Temperature was 33 degree C before noon, so people tried cooling off in the falls near the Carbide Wilson Ruins in Gatineau Park, Quebec.
Every time I go to the Hawley/Lake Park area, I hope I get to see at least one loaded coal train working up the grade. It used to be pretty much a sure thing, but this was the only one we saw all day. It didn't disappoint, though, as it roared through the cut east of Hawley.
This lizard had found a shady spot to rest and watch the world go by at Rainham Marshes! I love the long shadows cast by its claws!
Ventured down the coast for a few days this week, Dovercourt is a grand total of 24 miles from home and I think that's as far as we're going to get this year in terms of a summer holiday!
The traditional view of the Low Lighthouse is normally a sunrise shot with it being on the East coast but it also makes an interesting subject during the day. We've had a few very hot sunny days here this week- it was all blue hazy skies so not a lot in the way of photographic opportunities, but it was lovely to see people enjoying the beach and cooling off in the sea. I love the sparkles on the sea on a bright sunny day.
(I THINK I got permission from the pretty girl in the pink swimsuit to photograph them. I was some distance away but we had a vague waving/pointing at the camera/distant thumbs up kind of exchange. I was pleased to see when I zoomed in she is looking straight at me and smiling :) )

A really cool looking spider that I photographed at Huntley Meadows in Alexandria, VA. on 9/9/22. I believe this is a Star-bellied Orb Weaver (Acanthepeira) but I could definitely be wrong.
Only a couple weeks removed from snow, ice, and sub-zero temps, this male Northern Cardinal was enjoying a drink in 70 degree temps in my yard in NE Oklahoma.

This moth has been hanging around for a few days. I’ve taken many shots of this moth and chose this one here. I’m trying to look it up with several ID references and I guess I haven’t searched enough.
I hope everybody enjoys this and would love to know if anyone have seen this and happy to receive any feedback.
