The giant leaf tailed gecko is proof of how cool nature is. Just look at what awesomely weird thing evolution has spawned. I love its crazy eyes.

Meet the newest doggy member of our family, Cool Hand Luke...but we'll call him Luke (or Luke-A-Doo, or Lukey Dookey...lol).
He is a 10-month-old fawn Great Dane who we just adopted from my good friend, Gloria, who runs Charleston South Carolina Area Great Dane Rescue (CSCAGDR). He was purchased by a family who bought him for their 3-year-old son, but decided he was too big (duh!). After adopting 2 adult danes with heart conditions who died much too soon, I wanted to adopt a younger Dane this time with no current health problems. Hopefully Luke will be with me for many years to come! He is a super-sweet boy who loves to snuggle, so I will be taking advantage of that for sure! :)

Cool Solent Sunset
Looking across the Solent towards the Isle of Wight with a 10 stop filter fitted during the Golden Hour.
The cloud was low in the sky and dense on the horizon, with just a few gaps to allow the setting sun to shine through.
It was very cold on the cliff top and the temperature was falling rapidly.
It's Hampshire's very own, budget version of "The Northern Lights" :-)
The 105 second exposure has picked up the little pin pricks of light on the seafront on the Isle of Wight.
Taken on Sunday but processed this evening...I ad a lot of little air bubbles stuck to the glass surface of the fish tank I was using so it took a fair bit of clean up to get a usable picture which was a bit annoying...but I do like the result - this would probably make a good large picture for the kitchen.
Triathlon, no problem. #60 has her make up perfect and gives the camera her best "I'm cool" look.
Nice job #60.

well today was possibly the hottest day ever in T.O. (at least it felt that way). Oh and plus there was a power outage, so I decided to cool off with the hose
