well, I had a hard time figuring out what I could use as a calculator. after several shots of various computers in the lab, i came up with this evidence : I'm lost without pen, paper, and lots of creepy equations...
deside that, it's my first post with my brand new canon sx200. pretty cool macro mode...

A very uneventfull day today! I bought a new hairbrush last night so thought it might make some cool macro shots. Thought i'd play around in photoshop for some weird results!
I have been seeing a lot of cool macro shots like this and wanted to try it. It is still a work in progress

Wish I would have noticed the bees when I was taking this picture but I didn't see them until I was back home. This would have been a very cool macro.
Playing with this really cool macro setting on my new camera. Instead of a flash it shines a constant light at the subject so it can focus with the light on and you don't get any flash marks. SWEET!
Handholded the 50mm with the front-end to the filter of my 70-200 f4 L getting this extremely small depth of field, but also a pretty cool macro functionality. There are some other pictures as well, check the set!

I bought this cool rock on my last road trip specifically to take cool macro photos of it, and it didn't disappoint.
I think they are mating, but I am not sure. I thought it was odd, but a definite cool macro opportunity!
Really cool macro shot I took for the "toys" challenge. Taken in my backyard, right next to a fence which didn't show up very clearly in the original. Ended up making some quick changes to the lighting to get that black background and the epic feel.
This is a picture of a borax snowflake. To capture the crystals that come out of solution as the supersaturated borax cools, Macro mode was used. A tripod was employed to reduce camera shake. The photo was taken without flash and the white balance corrected for flourescent lights. The detail of the individual crystals can clearly be seen.
Yesterday i decided to try something new, i decided to use my lens backwards to take some cool
macro shoots, first time ever doing this. i love the results. The set up i used will be posted on my blog, danslatetedegerardo.tumblr.com
Trying to get some cool macro shots of insects in my garden I found it to be rather a barren wasteland. Only a couple of flies.
I thought this was a really cool macro lens test shot. Using the macro without the wide angle lens on top of it makes the pictures come out in a more fisheye effect and I really like the color of this stone. I think it's on a light catcher or something.
Found this in someones yard and fell in love with it! My tripod is broken....can't wait to get another one and get back out there and take some cool macros!
So I was at my parents house and they have been invaded by ladybugs. actually this has been going on for a few years now. it seems as though they come here to die, sad really. anyway this little guy was either dead or really cooperative with me but he wasn't moving. I got this shot with my 50mm.lens apeture closed, with all of my extension tubes on board. I was resting the lens on the carpet. I set my camera to bulb, held a cheap strobe in my left hand, pressed the shutter and held pressed the test button on the strobe and released the shutter. wha-la really cool macro, of a really calm ladybug :)
