Just wondering if you can guess what you're seeing here! And sharing a bit of the cool macro magic from my camera. That little speck with legs and eyes was just 1 mm long at best.
(I didn't have a ruler to stick in - but if it hadn't moved I'd never have guessed it was there.)

Trying something new, a combination of water, canola oil, and dish soap With a 1000 lumen flashlight. Makes for cool macro images and after some editing you can find some quite remarkable and interesting abstract images.
This is actually a close up of a piece of a braclet I made and then broke! LOL! I had stuck it up on my night stand with the intention of fixing it. Well....it's still not fixed! LOL! But it made for a really cool macro shot using the retro camera app on my droid phone! Probably my best shot out of all of the ones I took that night I couldn't sleep! This was also using the Orange box setting.

This is what I saw at my office first thing Monday morning. Some hood felt the need to bust my window for to get his jollies... Although, it made for a few pretty cool macro shots
I just love how water can actually magnify details of a plastic cup (especially transparent ones) creates a cool macro shot like this one.
I took this picture on our field trip. It was a flower i found on the side of the road. I didnt really know what was gunna turn out when i took this picture, i just snapped it quick and kept walking. Then i looked and it was a really cool macro shot. It really details in on the top of the flower. No cropping needed for this. It has a vanshing backround. The shutter speed was really fast when it really didnt need to be which is probably why it turned out how it did. The composure is really nice. Along with the lighting as well.
Seaweed at Two Mile Hollow beach. In my search for cool macro items on the beach this was my only interesting subject. The texture of the wet seaweed and the way it was sparkling in the sun was beautiful. I took a lot, but chose this shot because I liked how the sand complemeted the seaweed. Take a look at the black and white seaweed practice shots I took, also - the texture looks a bit disgusting in b&w.
This is an untouched image. I saw an opportunity for a cool macro shot of water and oil mixing on top of a sewer manhole.
This is the first image I took with my Canon EOS 350D and the 18 - 55mm lens. Pretty cool macro image, huh. I especially liked how the blues and pink on the abdomen were echoed in the out of focus background.
