A wild bobcat stops on a side walk to look at me before heading into the woods. The birds were alarm calling like crazy. Such a cool wild cat!

I was shooting at Commonwealth Lake when this pied billed grebe bobbed up near where I was shooting. One of the closest I've been to one, and managed to get some decent near shots. What really struck me was the fascinating eye!

A pair of Caspian terns that I saw all too briefly before they were chased off a beach in Warrnambool, Victoria.
A triangular pen from, I think, the 70s, with the name of a vending machine company on it. It is surprisingly comfortable to hold. I placed it on pink tissue paper still in its plastic wrapping
Probably a slight exaggeration, but after all this is Echo Point in the highlands of Kerala. Kerala is a district in Southern India highly regarded for its beautiful natural wonders. This is only one area that delights people. To think that I almost did not include this in my itinerary.
The reason was that I had spent time in the highlands of Sri Lanka and thought nothing could surpass the glorious vistas and landscape of that area. Well, beware if your mind ever goes to that place. You just might miss an opportunity of a lifetime. I have never seen an area quite as beautiful as the hillsides and lakes of this paradise in India!
Our city had a sprinkling of rain back a couple of days but the sun is here today and I hope for the weekend. Thanks very much for comments.
