My first fixed conversion was something like this -- I left the big ring on to act as a bash guard. Or maybe I was just lazy.

Came across some old negatives up in the loft today tried to scan them but wasn't happy with the out come so resorted using a softbox with the negative taped to it using my wife's Fuji fine-pix Z as the macro was better than my current lenses for the canon.

This particular shot is of my Granddad and my Great Nan sadly now both passed away, My Granddad is the person that inspired me to pick up the camera and to get into photography initially.

Where ever he would go he would be filming with a video camera usually ending up right in the middle of the action and getting into trouble for it that thought always brings a smile to my face.

The picture shows the 3 motors wires protruding over the canopy. A small notch was cut in front of the canopy, allowing these wires to sit within the cockpit.
