Two former Standerwick Leyland Atlanteans, converted for local bus use by Teesside Municipal Transport at Stockton depot. Nearest the camera is VFR 378, which has received the 'partial conversion' retaining its original destination screen and upstairs coach seats, while NRN 609, behind, has had the full conversion from motorway coach configuration.

The main bits to plumb into Ruby. I hope she doesn't mind the operation, she's a bit old in the tooth really, though still strong as a nail. Or a fencepost. Or a kangaroo, now that's strong. 10 & 12mm fuel line, heater hose, 30 & 20 flat plate heat exchangers, 6 port motor driven Pollak valve, CAV agglomerating filter, vacuum gauge/hose.

Like a Phoenix from the ashes the Cyclefab Cycletruck is born anew! Once cumbersome and sluggish the cycletruck cargo bike can now support its capacity with a 350RPM eZee geared motor powered by a 846 Watt/Hour Lithium Ion Battery. The Grin Tech Phaserunner Motor controller (cast in clear epoxy!) and Cycle Analyst heads up display were manufactured up in Vancouver Canada by some rad eBike nerds. I oped for a one of the latest torque sensing bottom brackets which directly translates your pedal strokes into acceleration which simulates the feeling of a super power. Looking forward to putting some commute miles and grocery runs on this new iteration of a bike that I picked up exactly 6 years ago today!
I finished the first roll of film today, so here are the insides of my converted J66. A look at the pressure plate and the counter hole I drilled through it.
Getting there slowly with the conversion on the inside top deck of bus. All the visible wood frames shall be painted once everything else goes in. Looking at storage later for under the bunks. The sofa at th far rear turns into a very comfy bed with storage to it's ends and underneath. We have two bed as bunks to the left in this photo and one mid single bed on your right with under and over storage. on the nearside left you can just see in this photo is what actually is a foldout double sofabed which th kids already enjoy chillin in that area. Now it's looking a whole lot more cosier we can start thinking about downstairs and ofcourse the outside of the bus! We'll be stripping it right down to bare metal so to repaint. Everything else after that. Lights,insulation,heating,the loo etc etc.. Kitchen just needs fitting in securely once all electrics are put in. Well, atleast we can sleep here and the kids are happy upstairs if they'r not playing outside. We soo love it here. Can't wait til it's all done :)
