It`s been a while since I did a mono shot but I thought this shot called for it with the dark brooding clouds .
It looked interesting as I was standing on the dock, looking up. The Black Raven's mast, and one from the Freedom, and a piling created some interesting angles, as the clouds did some pretty amazing things, too!
I might not post much else this weekend, Folks. Once the storm passes out of our area, Labor Day sales will hopefully be in full swing, and I will be busy. I'll catch up when I can!
The storm did little to our area, so thanks for the concern, Folks!
Shapes, form, light, shadows, lines, depth, contrast, texture, curves, patterns, art, so much more than just a highway underpass. Highways converge at the St. Louis riverfront.
The convergence point of where the original B&O Viaduct and the B&O Railroad Bridge meet.
Wish I had more history on the replacement route but the original B & O Railroad Viaduct is a historic structure in Bellaire, Ohio, listed in the National Register of Historic Places on June 22, 1976
The spans to the bridge were completed in 1870. The Bellaire span contains 43 arched spans
Speaking of convergence this is a composite of 2 shots, one at EV-2 for the sky and another at +1 for the subject. and blended in post processing.

Stockholm functionalist architecture at the Swedish National Agency for Education. Was there with work and snapped this picture of the building entrance.
I know a lot of people don't like contrails but they are sadly a fact of life in the 21st century. Thought these contrails looked quite interesting in the sky all converging together!
Lines converge in this narrow slot canyon in Utah's Escalante canyon country. This is a very wide-angle shot at 14mm.
For 120 pictures in 2020 #27 "Converging lines", this is Park Road 22 in the Padre Island National Seashore. On a nice long straight stretch looking northeast toward Corpus Christi, this road would normally be quite busy on a nice Sunday afternoon. But the visitor center is closed, and most people are obeying the beach closures. Only exercising is allowed, along with driving on the beach, and the road was almost vacant, which made it much easier to get this shot.
