The house, a vernacular structure built in the Federal style tradition, is known as the Peter Ringware House and is believed to have been constructed in 1778. Ringware was a sea captain who probably built the house to be similar to houses he saw during voyages to maritime cities on the east coast. The two-tier porch that span the width of the front elevation were places to gather in the summer months to catch the prevailing sea breezes that moderated the hot, humid weather. The porches were uniquely southern adaptations to the traditional Federal style house form. The Ringware House is in the Swansboro Historic District listed on the National Register of Historic Places and is a contributing property.

Both these guys have contributed a lot to comics. I'm not implying anything with the choice of pose. I figure in classic comic parlance though, these two comic heroes would be obligated to fight before teaming up to defeat some great evil.

Two of Anne Leighton’s artists have contributed tracks to the new fundraising compilation digital album to help rescuers and those displaced by Hurricane Harvey this past summer.

Gary Lucas & Jann Klose plus co-writer Dan Beck’s 2014 song “Mary Magdalene” about the October 22, 2012 Superstorm Sandy. That is on the 2016 album, STEREOPTICON.

“A Lack of Empathy: The American Dream” is helping to raise funds and support for friends, neighbors and the families of Texas. Right on the heals Harvey we saw more devastating hurricanes both Irma and Maria were also Catagory 5 Hurricanes that created havoc killed people and displaced 1,000’s more. There were a few other very devastating incidents including Typhoon Noru and two earthquakes in Mexico City.

There is Hope Records’ goal with “A Lack of Empathy: The American Dream” is to both raise as much money as possible for the victims and families, and to maintain focus on all those devastated by the recent catastrophic events long after the media moves its attention onto another sound bite.
