The contract brush cutter on the New Hampshire Northcoast is just about finished clearing the main line, this combined with some additional efforts by a certain employee have made the Union Meadows causeway look as good this spring as it probably has since construction of the railroad! Up until relatively recent times this causeway had high brush and trees growing on it, making it completely unshootable. With the freshly rebuilt GP38-2 back on the train this week, albeit in the middle of the consist, combined with decent weather it was a good time to shoot the causeway before the brush starts creeping back up. With 2 loads for Rochester and 25 loads for Boston the three units are having no trouble making track speed despite a late start from Ossipee.

A new year, renewing contract. She signed herself into my power. Every letter, every stroke of her pen was a surrender—her breath, her thoughts, her very essence now bound to my will. She is no longer just an amazing capable woman; she is a vessel, a creation of my command, ready to be shaped, molded, and used. Her soul dances to my rhythm, and in her submission, I find my absolute control. She belongs to me —completely, utterly, and without question.

Thanks to a typo in the contract, the professor gained complete mastery of all the knowledge in the heavens and the earth in exchange for his soup.
Running uphill in loose stone whilst falling victim to what seems to be a never ending rainfall. Not what I had in mind for my Saturday morning hike. But we found the bridge and our timing couldn't have been better, or worse, let's just say we made it happen!

66027 heads 4S35, the 1407 Seaforth – Mossend through the Lune Gorge on 19 July 2018. Introduced earlier this year, DB Cargo are reportedly expecting to pick up more contracts as the year goes on.
The loading on this train apparently varies quite a lot, it would have to be a light load when I went for it!
Quinby, Virginia is a small community in remote Eastern Shore, Virginia. I haven't found any information on this abandoned church building. Its cinderblock construction places its construction date in the early twentieth century or more recently. According to one source, the building dates to 1947 (Contract Publication Series 15-374; HISTORIC ARCHITECTURAL RESOURCE SURVEY, EASTERN SHORE, ACCOMACK AND NORTHAMPTON COUNTIES, VIRGINIA)
With a length of well over 100SLU the rear of 6X11 is still in Manton Tunnel as 66185 and 66015 take the Corby line and head south on 6th May 2022.
DB Cargo's Toyota contract is fully up and running now with three loaded trains running each way per week
OUTSIDE - Champs Elysees - NIGHT
FADE IN
The overall plan of boulevard Champs Elysees. Far away, in the out of focus, the Arc de Triomphe is visible. Float lights of passing cars. CUT TO the taxi, which travels toward Roosevelt Square. The overhead light in the cab is on, and we see driver silhouette and dimly lit woman face at the backseat.
INT. - TAXI - NIGHT
CLOSE-UP
From the passenger view, we see the color tabloid at the back seat. On its cover - picture a laughing woman. Easy readable headline, "Debut of the Year." The camera turns on MARIE-HELENE. We recognize her as cover-girl.
MARIE-HELENE with a slight smile looking at the city through lights, floating in the reflection of the half-closed window. Wind waving her bushy hair. Before us is a beautiful young woman in evening makeup. This is her first part in a big movie, with the exception of wandering in the low-budget films and tv shows. She hopes that through this film, she would finally be able to sign a contract for a film from the big studios, as laurel wreaths wins (or simply nominations) at film festivals can not pay many bills.
*********
Nikon D4, Nikkor 28 f1.8G. Lighting: SB-800 into Lumiquest LTp soft box model right, mimicing overhead car light.
Make sure to read the fine print...never know what you might be signing away. *does best evil laugh impression*
Hope you like!!
Big thanks to Ace for posing with me!! <3
Contracted to switch the Verso paper mill. The 101 was originally built for the Pennsylvania Railroad.
Lake Wales is a city in Polk County, Florida. The population was 14,225 at the 2010 census. As of 2019, the population estimated by the U.S. Census Bureau is 16,759. It is part of the Lakeland–Winter Haven Metropolitan Statistical Area. Lake Wales is located in central Florida, west of Lake Kissimmee and east of Tampa.
The land around the present city was surveyed in 1879 by Sidney Irving Wailes, who changed the name of a lake, then known as Watts Lake, to Lake Wailes.
The city of Lake Wales was established near the lake in 1911–12, planned by the Lake Wales Land Company. The spelling Wales was used for the city, although the lake is still generally spelled Lake Wailes. Allen Carleton Nydegger, a Civil Engineer, was contracted by the Lake Wales Land Company to plot out the community of Lake Wales. He and his crew camped on the shores of Crystal Lake and spent months plotting out the new community. In 1925 the Atlantic Coastline Railroad built a new line from Haines City joining lines to Everglades City. A depot was opened on this line at Lake Wales. The City of Lake Wales was officially incorporated in April 1917.
In 2004, Lake Wales endured the effects of three hurricanes which came through the area: Hurricane Charley, Hurricane Frances and Hurricane Jeanne. The three hurricanes brought hurricane-force winds to the Lake Wales area within a space of 44 days. In 2017, Hurricane Irma brought more hurricane-force winds to Lake Wales.
The town lies near the geographical center of the Florida peninsula. Lake Wales is located on the Lake Wales Ridge, a sandy upland area running roughly parallel to both coasts in the center of the peninsula. According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 14.0 square miles (36 km2), of which 13.4 square miles (35 km2) is land and 0.7 square miles (1.8 km2) (4.71%) is water.
Lake Wales is located in the humid subtropical zone of the (Köppen climate classification: Cfa). In 2004, the eyes of Hurricanes Charley, Frances and Jeanne all passed near the town. Virtually all physical damage has been restored.
Local attractions in the area include:
*Bok Tower Gardens
*Camp Mack's River Resort
*Spook Hill, an optical illusion which makes a car in neutral appear as if it is traveling uphill (gravity hill)
*The commercial historic district in the heart of the old town contains important examples of architecture from the period of the Florida land boom of the 1920s. The district's tallest building, the Hotel Grand, has been boarded up for many years but has been purchased and is in the process of being restored.
*The Lake Wales Museum and Cultural Center is a history museum funded by a public-private partnership. It offers exhibits and artifacts from the pre-Columbian era to modern.
*Grove House, the visitor's center for the agricultural cooperative Florida's Natural (located across from the company's processing plant).
*Chalet Suzanne This attraction has closed.

VC8 paid a visit to AL after having been painted into the cream and purple "Wimbledon Tennis" livery which is done as part of a contract with them during the tennis season. I like the way thr purple stripe curves down with the bodywork.
OK, it's been done before. I get that. But it's also a compositional idea that appears simple and one I wanted to try for myself. With today a write-off through rain, I decided to give it a whack.
Two hours later I finally got the shot I envisaged, with the assistance of the kitchen bench, a black shirt, a torch, a tissue to muffle the torchlight, a ring, an old book by Balzac (the source of the title), a wireless remote, tripod, a Canon EOS 1Ds Mark III and a Canon EF 85mm f1.2L II lens.
Please type "L" for a much better view.
In this pic we see truck 731 another cleanaway machine contracted to Bankstown Green Waste, collecting the green lidded bins in the suburb of Greenacre in the Wednesday collection zone at around 11am. There are three of these 2007 Iveco Acco/Superior PAK 25m Raptors servicing Bankstown Green Waste, each doing two loads or three loads on the heavier days.
I found this truck straight away and waited in a particular street with a mix of houses/units to keep the action interesting. There was plenty of packing and shaking with this old truck getting the job done on the last hour of the run.
I was a little late for the councils garbage and recycle trucks as I spent the morning over in Strathfield with my mate driving SL061, but I will get something of the council trucks in the near future. Video should be up on YouTube soon.
The contract for DevonBus service 309 / 310 has been awarded to Stagecoach South West. They will begin operating the route on 14 October 2024 using new route-branded Optare Solo SRs. Here are 48167 YJ74DFG and 48169 YJ74DFL at the official launch of the new vehicles at Barnstaple Bus Station.
Stagecoach Hull has the contract to run the Bridlington Park & Ride service, run directly for several years previously by East Riding Council, which had an esoteric collection of motley vehicles to delight enthusiasts. Stagecoach Hull appears to simply send along a few standard liveried Enviro 400s to run the service without any adornments apart from the destination display. Here is SN66VXS arriving at the Park & Ride site, with Bempton Cliffs and both Flamborough lighthouses visible beyond. The driver has already reset the destination display for the return journey.
The contract for route B99 in 2005 went to Selkent who had to hire some Darts from London United to operate it. Most were from the 2002 batch of DPS class, including the unfortunately-numbered DPS666 (LG02 FGP).

I think this is a Contracted Datana Moth Caterpillar, found in NW Arkansas. This little caterpillar was enjoying its meal so much that it hardly noticed my wife and I standing by admiring it.

and i'll be like
"No, wait rabbit, look at this trick i just learned!"
her: can i get that in writing?
me: i'm giving you my word,...
her: no i want that in writing,... so that you can read this again when you're 70.
