Lothian Buses have now lost the running of service 63 and as of Monday 31st August the council have awarded the service to First Bus.
First 63249 at Edinburgh Park on a service 63 working to Riccarton and Balerno. 31st August 2020.

And today a different contract for me .Today i was back on a contract that i did at Harry Shaw way back in 2004 and it was the contract for Warwicjshire College at MOrton Morrell .A 1hr 45 min run starting at Atherstone at 07.30hrs arriving at the College at 09.15. The return leaves the College at 16.30hrs and because of Traffic ( rush Hour ) it takes a bit longer finishing at Atherstone around 18.30hrs.When i last did it it started at Kingsbury at 06.30 .Before the afternoon run the coach runs a WCC contract from Aylesford school .The 460 service takes 9 minutes end to end.TUI4740 is seen at Aylesford school showing off the offside of our new livery. This is one of my original lawn contracts. I've been maintaining this lawn since the mid 90's. We just power raked and top seeded this lawn three weeks ago so it will be a few more weeks until it's in it's best condition. I'll be fertilizing these lawns next week too. No photo editing on these photos either. I'm just really happy with how they are taking shape. 😃

The 6E70 BR Railfreight Distribution Contract Services train comprising empty chemicals tanks being returned to Teeside from the West Midlands was recorded passing Milford South. RfD Class 47/3 47349 had charge of the 11:35 Bescot Yard to ICI Haverton Hill Exchange Sidings.

So, let me start by making posting the story of Valiant:
Valiant, an Ascendant Lord, built like a castle, with high defense, and average mobility,
It is feared by it’s massive strength and usually, 1 hit from him is all that is needed to win.
Its pilot usually goes around with his son, who he is training to be the next pilot of Valiant. The Son, born blind, can only see when attached to the valiant, which makes this story even darker...
Valiant was seen as a threat, so Joker was contracted to eliminate it...which he did, but left the son alive, he does not kill if it is not on contract.

So, I got some new pieces, and I wanted to rebuild Valiant, but I got this idea of making a dynamic plot series, and this gave me the chance.
BTW, I did update the Joker’s design, Let me know if you want new photos of it.

ESA signed a contract with Leonardo to design, manufacture, integrate and test the Sample Transfer Arm for the Mars Sample Return programme at the the Farnborough International Airshow in July 2022.
Attending the contract signature event were David Parker (left), ESA's Director of Human and Robotic Exploration, and Gabriele Pieralli (right), managing director of Leonardo’s Electronics Division.
Leonardo is leading a European industrial consortium with companies from Spain, France, Romania, Denmark, Greece, Switzerland and the Czech Republic.

Route 250 had been operated by London Transport since 1979, but on May 24 1986 it became the responsibility of Essex County Council so the LT roundel was no longer displayed and presumably Travelcards were no longer accepted.
Sampson's started their contracts in a businesslike manner with shiny clean, if elderly, vehicles that sported impressive whip antennas implying an intention to maintain contact between drivers and supervision.
I saw a picture of this ex Australian Army Scammell Contractor tank transporter that'd been converted to a tipper here on Flickr around 2011, and when I was on holiday there in 2018 I decided to see if the 1971 built machine was still around.
With not much time or information I managed to track it down even though it'd moved location to a coal mine which was impossible to access without induction training!
Never mind, at least the old girl was parked fairly near the fence!

Whitney quickly found Elizabeth and Adele in the coffeeshop. Whitney read through the provisions in the renter's agreement, taking her time to scroll through the agreement on Adele's notepad.
Adele: "As you'll see, this is a standard renter's agreement for six months. Elizabeth as the landlord reserves the right to inspect the property, and --"
Whitney: "I don't see anything about adding a wall so cars don't drive through my living room or a railing so I don't fall out of my bed. Either I wait to sign the agreement until these items are addressed, or the rent is too expensive."
Elizabeth was visibly getting irritated: "I said Bobby and his crew will inspect the property and repair any safety hazards for you."
Whitney: "Including adding a wall so Don Buzzle doesn't mow us down with his car in our own living room?"
Elizabeth: [sternly] "Of course."
Whitney: "Great! Just notify me when the lease is ready to be signed. I'm now going to go tell my cousin the good news. We're moving!"
Whitney left.....
Elizabeth: "This is going to be a nightmare, isn't it?"
Adele: "Being a landlord isn't for everyone. Are you sure you wouldn't rather just sell her the property?"
Elizabeth:"No, that's not an option. That's my home."
Adele excuses herself to begin amending the lease, remarking to herself, great -- stubborn client, stubborn renter.
First Aberdeen Alexander Dennis Enviro500 38204 is see here at Sir Duncan Rice Library while operating an Aberdeen University internal Service 9U to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary.
The Service 9U was launched by Stagecoach Bluebird in September 2012 after Aberdeen University withdrew funding for First's existing service 6 over a dispute regarding the cost of Student bus fares.
The service originally operated from Guild Street to ARI via King Street, Seaton and Hillhead Of Seaton, the Guild Street to Hillhead section was commercially operated by Stagecoach and competed with First's Services 1/2, 13 and 20, while the Hillhead to ARI section was supported by the University, it operated Monday - Saturday with a 30 minute frequency, but with no evening service. The service required three buses and as such three MAN ALX300s (22702/6/9) which had recently been displaced from the Service 59 were allocated and branded. However within the first week of the service being launched it became clear that the MANs were unsuitable for the peak time runs between Hillhead and ARI and as such Olympians 16116 and 16117 were usually allocated instead with the route branded MANs being used on the 37/37A.
Although generally well used by Students the allocation of step entry Olympians turned away many passengers from the Seaton area and as such the Guild Street - Hillhead section of the route rarely carried more than a few people. Despite three Enviroe350Hs being on order for the route the commercial section of the 9U was withdrawn in September 2013, with those E350Hs arriving a few months later and instead being allocated to the X17.
In it's place a new Service 9U was launched the following month in October 2013 again operated by Stagecoach but this time only operating Hillhead to ARI on a limited stop basis, peak times only and not open to the public, the regular allocated vehicle for the service was Olympian 16865. The following year the off peak service was reinstated on a half hourly basis but operating Sir Duncan Rice Library to ARI only. In later years Trident 18000 became the vehicle usually allocated to the service.
In January 2020 following a period of poor reliability the contract was awarded to First Aberdeen. The timetable is the same as that previously operated by Stagecoach and the service still unfortunately remains closed to the public. Currently the morning/afternoon service is primarily operated by an Enviro500 with a single decker usually taking over for a few hours around lunch time to allow for driver change overs.

Here we have D.L.W Coaches Volvo B10M Plaxton Premiere (110) W301 GCW seen leaving the newly styled depot to start operating a school contract on a nice Wednesday morning. 18/1/17.
With a hint of overnight dew and the rising sun just piercing the morning mist, DB Schenker 66111 rumbles through Cummersdale on the outskirts of Carlisle on 23 May 2015 heading the 6C33 05:22 Carlisle Yard to Dalston loaded bogie fuel tankers as some of the Blackwell Hall pedigree herd remain unperturbed by the train (but one with interest in the photographer behind a hedge I might add!). I was unaware at the time that this long-running BP contract with EWS/DBS would soon pass over to Colas Rail Freight.
