Last night was the first in a two-part class on calligraphy taught at Makeshift Society by Maybelle Imasa-Stukuls.

If you live in the SF area and are interested, it looks like Makeshift and Maybelle are going to be offering this series in March and April.

In June 2012, we gathered the alumni of our Public Relations Certificate for a networking event.

PNCA President Tom Manley and Powell's CEP Miriam Sontz discuss the impact of PNCA and Powells on the creative and economic development of the City of Portland with participants of the 2014 Portland Creative Camp.

Portland Creative Camp is a series of weekly workshops for emerging to mid-career professionals from Japan offered in collaboration by PNCA's Continuing Education Department and Freedom University, Tokyo. Program participants are interested in changemaking that is personally meaningful, professionally sustainable and impactful at the community level. They come to Portland and PNCA for ideas and inspiration that they take back to and apply to their contexts in urban and, for some of them, rural Japan. Portland Creative Camp introduces the participants to art and design strategies as well as to innovative initiatives in the Portland metro area via small organizations and large businesses, public and private institutions.

The event featured lectures by some of Rice's top experts, faculty-led immersive learning experiences, and opportunities to network and connect with fellow attendees.

Roger Ebert's validictorian memoir, written within 2 years of his passing in 2013 is both a very poignant recollection of his journey through life and dance with mortality as well as a fascinating series of vignettes about he films, actors and directors that he reviewed, knew and befriended in a long, mostly exceptionally charmed life as America's preeminent film critic.
