continuing my habit of spending time in foreign hospitals, I visited the Takura Hospital in Kyoto. I noticed someting interesting: no 4th floor. The number four also means "death" in Japanese and is considered very unlucky...particularly in a hospital, I suppose. No one would want to be on the death floor.
